  1. If it opened on the Monday but they said nothing opens until Wednesday you are on your own for 2 days, how many people you think would turn up? Obviously this would annoy the traders onsite but could potentially increase business in Glastonbury town. Just a thought. I'm happy with Wednesday as come Sunday my body is waving the white flag.

  2. From what I've seen on the BBC glasto page they have no footage for first few bands on the Luke's of the other stage and John Peel for some reason. There are quite a few videos on YouTube which are good quality and have the crowd interaction which the BBC would probably have cut out.

  3. i had it on sunday night - actually shit myself en-route to the lords of lightning and had to clear it up with my socks

got some horrible blisters on my feet after that

  4. I have a cold also back to work today and feel horrible. People just think it's because I drank too much over the week. Oh wait that probably is it, along with only 3 hours sleep some nights might have also had something to do with it.

  5. The hives were easily the most fun band there! Got to shake Pele's hand as he strutted past too which is a bonus!

I wonder what the point in filming it is if it's not gonna be made available to watch! Even if it's just for a week online afterwards I'd be happy!

  6. After The Stones was tempted to go back to the tent as was knackered and my feet were killing but went along and got on the vodka and cokes and get to bed at 5:30. The Temple in the common was awesome. Anyone know who the DJ was in there around 1:40? as the tunes he was playing were epic.

  7. I thought they were amazing even though back by the ring of flags.

I thought he said get me a ladder? whats he on about. Think ive missed the joke. Someone help me out

Cracking frontman though and Hives IMO have enough tunes to play a early set for sure

  8. Despite no footage from BBC there is a large amount of good footage appearing on YouTube if you wish to re live the set.

I was stood to the left of the sound stage and wondering how far back people actually sat down when pelle instructed during Tick Tick Boom everyone infront of me did but unsure of the people behind?

  9. I went to one of their gigs in Birmingham years ago and I've never see so much crowd surfing. I think they play mind tricks on their audiences.

  10. Have just got to say how good The Hives were. Is there a more charismatic front man of a band around? Howlin' Pete Almqvist had the crowd eating out the palm of his hand. For someone who's speaking in their second language makes it even more of a feat. Very good humor especially when getting everyone to crouch down onto the floor and then apologising to anyone who had hemorrhoids. Brilliant tunes perfect for the start of the festival. Perfect pyramid opener after that performance and the crowd was huge.
