had payment page up and then buy tickets button wouldn't work...
-
I didn't go this year but the WOW stage looked stacked with dance talent.
Personally I'd quite like a Boards of Canada or Fuck Buttons set during the evening.
-
Because it's against the law?
-
It certainly worked for me, almost instantly.
Either someone worked it out through pinging the server or someone at SeeTickets wanted to get their mates in and then the address was leaked.
-
I'm sure you're one of THOUSANDS who get their parents to buy the tickets for them I wouldn't be worried at all.
-
More of everything, relying on going to Tescos when I got there was a mistake cos I cba
Skittles Vodka is horrible, to the people who recommended it here last year go lie in a ditch.
-
I bought a flag last year, I don't remember it being that pricey.
You could buy one, take off the pole from that and use it with yours
-
last year I spent most of my time waiting for people to find me so we could watch bands.
because of that I missed Passion Pit, Filthy Dukes and Alexisonfire.
watch who you want to watch, and/or physically drag people along with you!

sounds exactly like all their post-Hold Your Colour stuff.
average ;0
although I'm a sucker for In Flames, so Self vs Self was slightly redeemable
-
cheers for this

Sub Focus looked absolutely on fire at Big Weekend

Sweet, they look pretty lo-fi
-
Do you honestly not get bored going to a 200 quid festival and getting the same bands each year.
That is all i mean't by that sir.
-
They were very so so when they opened main stage last year.
But I'm not so self righteous into hoping they don't play cos I can accept when my music tastes are different to others *hint*
-
Don't make the mistake I made and make Skittles Vodka.
vastly overrated
-
La Roux was booked before she really became famous and it just so happened that she became massive.
-
Nah it'll be like Relentless was last year, excessively promoted and rarely purchased.
-
I don't know what people are on about, we were camped near the wall at Blue and had no problems whatsoever after coming back to out tents at 2am ish
-
Did they call it a secret when noone turned up? I can't even imagine shikari doing an acoustic set...surely it would just be awful.
FFers was an unfortunate band name by a band which had no affiliation to the foo's. Obviously it wasnt going to be the foos on the introducing stage.
Didnt know about biffy playing though.
-
Enter Shikari did a secret acoustic set at BBC Introducing last year.
so yeah, pretty common
-
They wont care at all, just take beer and a few spirits. The beer will be cold and horrible but you will put up with it.
-
if No Cars Go doesn't get played their will be a mild mannered multi instrumental riot, aboot 5 mins later of course
-
Like Chavmeister said, it's usually do to contractual obligations.
For example Faith No More last year
-
I expected a thread regarding people doing Alan Partridge impressions at Leeds last year, in the crowds.

Metallica haven't released a successful album for 6 years though (rip lou reid). The obvious answer is One Direction. They're a big hit with the festival crowds right?!
