I'm coming over from the U.S. for Glastonbury, and will be in Europe for the whole summer. Because I want to see Arcade Fire, I'm considering the Main Square Festival in Allas, France from July 1-3.
Has anyone been to this? Is it a good festival? How's the camping?
Or should I be going somewhere completely different?

The list is just for Hurricane.
Examples:
Coldplay is red because they're playing Rock am Ring hence won't play Hurricane.
Foo Fighters is white because they were mentioned at this year's press conference as a band they try to get and because they play Isle of Wight the week before Hurricane. Furthermore the Rock am Ring organizer MLK announced that the Foo Fighters won't play Rock am Ring.
-
Is there an annoucment on Friday ??
I persoanlly think the Headliners will be Foo Fighters, Blink 182 and either Pulp/Kasabian/Artic Monkeys.
Really hoping for SOAD but I think Rock am Ring will snap them.
Also would be very happy to see Gorillaz as well!
-
I think you'll have a great time. I've been to Hurricane a few times and it's always been a great mix of party and a more laid-back atmosphere at the camping ground. Never been with a campervan though, sounds kind of lame.
Rumours:
(green=confirmed, red=won't play, white=possible)

Really interested in this festival - particularly want to see The National, Flaming Lips and Animal Collective. Would appreciate a bit more info if anyone can help.
My daughter has an A level exam on the morning of Thursday 26th. We can just about make a flight to Barcelona that arrives at 5pm that day.
Have done a lot of googling but cannot find info on dates/times for the bands to appear (presume the main bands will be on the Thursday/Friday/Saturday). If any of the above bands are playing on the Thursday what are the chances that we will arrive in time?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
-
Most useful thing to know is that it pays to get down on the Thursday early and sort out your wristband and drink tokens before the queues!
-
Is there any map where I can see where the different stages are at the forum?
-
4 weeks left! I want the f'king schedule!
And according to www.oddsac.com Avey Tare of Animal Collective will be at the festival as well to do a Q&A. Maybe he will do a set together with Panda Bear or with his solo stuff?

Has anyone been to this before? Line Up looks great as the 2009 did. It's an indoor event, right? How many stages will there be and when will it probably sell out?

Jay Z, Beastie Boys, Bob Dylan were set to play but cancelled due to different reason (Beasties wont tour that early, Jay Z whines because of the indie line up).

Primavera > Your Favourite Festival
Still 3 months though...
-
Which of these would be easier to get to the festival site from? The line-up is looking pretty good this year.
-
Nick Cave would be great...but he is Australian.
-
The Primavera forum-admin (and also booker) posted this on the forum today:
Músico inglés nacido en la década de los 50 que este año cumple 25 años de carrera en solitario.
I'm not sure but I think he's talking about the 3rd headliner because he was asked to give some hints before.
So an English singer in his 50s that celebreates his 25th year on stage in 2010. The guys on the Primavera forum guessed either Morrissey or Phil Colins. What do you think?
I guess it could be Nick Cave, that would be great.
-
Yep, 3rd headliner still tba. Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan, Faith No More, Nick Cave are among the rumours (as far as I get what the guys at the Primavera forum mean).
SURFER BLOOD confirmed.
