All services on the Arcadia Line are presently suspended due to a body on the track.
Services will resume when they sober up.
Sounds like a great idea Neil.
-
if that happened it would be ironically amusing - the Jazzworld Stage grew out of Glastonbury hosting a WOMAD stage for a year or two.
The WOMAD stage at Glasto ended after - according to Michael - Thomas (who ran WOMAD for Peter) got greedy with the amount of budget he was asking for. So Michael created his own stage with a similar theme.

System 7 - at the Glade ideally!!

Its a bitch aint it
One year I got a lift back with a friend to Bristol to catch the train, problem is she had completely forgotten where her car was, and I mean completely. No fucking clue (the carpark she had in her head didn't even exist). Took us 5 hours of carrying all our stuff around before we finally located it. We were dead.
On the plus side, the roads were clear by the time we got out the carparks.

The trek to the car early hours of Monday morning, made worse by not remembering where said car is located.

Peter Gabriel?
PJ Harvey?

As in Papa. Can you imagine that on a sunny Glasto day? They broke up in the early 80s, shortly after I saw them - events unconnected, I feel sure. They reformed last year. I've yet to see them, and I don't know how many originals are still in there,

+1 for David Byrne
Also, please, please can we have Tunng again, preferably early afternoon on Sunday in the sunshine? Beautiful!
-
David Byrne put on a fine old performance at the Big Chill a couple of years back - would be perfect for the West Holts, as would, surely,

I can see Jodrell Bank from home.
Seeing Elbow there would be pretty special for me. Going to have to rely on family to get tickets though.

Apostrophe's brilliant imo.
Agreed. As is Overnite Sensation and Joe's Garage.
ps Ralph......so is the tale of Manny Calavera

Likin this thread.
Here's a much missed legend.
-
I'm not on Facebook and other social networks etc and don't know much about them ( I'm technically quite feeble!). How does being on Facebook help in obtaining tickets?
-
worry not these two years will fly by

Here is a nominations site.

It would be a great accolade but do you all think Michael would like to?
-
I think this was his final post.
It was already muddy so no rating.
If 2007 was rated 10 I would rate this year as 8.
-
Fingers crossed for you.

There is also the increase of international festivals to contend with. Not done one myself but my lad had a great time at Benicasim last year and is at Exit now. Making the festival part of a holiday/tour, with better chance of good weather.
-
I waited for the performance but it was a bit dissapointing imo.
Sounded un-rehearsed but maybe I was just tired and wet.
-
Without doubt the Spirit of 71 house band playing Baker Street in memory of Gerry Rafferty. More than made up for the none appearance of Steve Hillage.

Sorry I couldn't make the meet Wednesday or Thursday. I got a bit wasted on Wednesday and had a Glasto virgin with me to show around!
I managed the 'Old Gits and Hags' meet and also met some of you lovely people in the early morning queue for Gate D.
I hope you all had a great time at Glastonbury, I certainly did!!
I hope the 'other meet' also went well.
Cheers!
Heres to 2013!
