  1. Best Resale Channel / Site?

I'm gutted but having bought tickets for Hatfield I now can't go. Do you know of any restrictions on re-sale? And best site for re-sale? I don't want to make a profit, just make sure someone else can go!

  3. Ha ha! I don't want to think about it. My daughter lost her ticket getting to the campsite and despite the ticket not being used and knowing the serial number V refused to give her a wrist band so I ended up buying another ticket on site. Many thanks to the Geordies who sold me a ticket at face value - you magic men!

I reckon the weekend cost me more than an all inclusive week in the sun - but I reckon I enjoyed it 3x as much; so many brilliant bands and laugh out loud moments!

  4. Its crap, its a rip off and I loved every moment of it.

Prodigy were awesome and Groove Armada were INCREDIBLE. I danced my head off and now I'm aching like shit.

Bed at 2am last night, up and left V at 5am, in work by 10.30, and I'm now back reflecting on a brilliant weekend.

Life is good. V, with all its shortcoming is part of my life!

  5. I was campervanning for the first time - right luxury!

U need to buy a campervan ticket on top of the normal camping tickets, but that can be shared by up to 4 people.

Each campervan area is marked out and u have to stay within them, but if you can get a party of two or four campervans to go, you can park your vehicles on the edges and have a huge space in the middle to party after hours. We had a mottley bunch of 4 camapervans this year - and room for a gazebo, bbq and party area.

    Just lush!

  6. Well, for me it was more magic, and LESS MUD!

Thanks to the girls from Burnley; Michaela, Louise and the gang who were beautiful in every way.

To the lads from Coventry for making the The Specials special - BARMY ARMY! Anyone here from Liverpool? Well.....

And the gorgeous red head who fed my mate such a concoction of substances that he was flying in his wheel chair (unfortunately I still had to push).

  7. Hi,

Do you have to pay extra to have a van or caravan? I too have had a disaster, broke my ankle 7 weeks ago. Just had pot off but cant walk without crutches. was hoping to go on disabled but not without my mates. contacted v festival 22 times but had no reply. Obviously i am worried what i am going to do and how going to get all my gear to camp etc. saw the van option and thoiught what a good idea. could have van with gear and camp at the side of it. Any advice please? xx

  8. Hi Southern Shandy, that's terrible news.

I'm going in a party including a disabled friend; we all bought tickets and we're sharing mud-hopping duties.

I decided to take a caravan and since I had no towbar ended up hiring a van from my local van hire company; the ones that supply builders like Charter always have cheap towers available - £135 from Thursday - Monday, plus vans are good for any paraphenalia.

I tried to buy a cheap caravan - but ended up borrowing one from a friend and now we're ready to ROCK AND ROLL!!

  9. This is me & my daughters singing along to Muse last year. We were late - spent too long dancing to the wonderful Pogues.

I'm missing the girls this year - but going with 20 boys from the Ogmore Vale, Bridgend. Its gonna be WILD ;) . Come and join us in the Campervan area!

  10. Thanks for the advice!

I saw Biffy and Pendulum at Download last year.

Pendulum were mental, just fabulous, but I can't help thinking there're taking the piss! Metal with an MC? Biffy was pretty good, but not so well received by the ultra-cool rockers.

I'll probably give them a whirl, but if there are any less well known bands that fit the bill, I'd be keen to hear about them!

  11. I go to V for the Love and Mud, but normally find enough rock to leap around to that keep my old soul happy.

2007 it was Iggy and Primal Scream, 2008 the Pogues, Stereos and Muse.

But this year I'm struggling on the mainstage acts so I'm hoping to get my satisfaction from the smaller tents.

But having spent several hours youtubing the acts, I'm still struggling! Can anyone advise on rough and ready blow-your-head off rock acts on the Arena/Union/Bow tents? Or even anything people will be leaping around to?
