  1. sort of connected but ive found best real ale in a can is cains as most canned ales are a very pale reflection of bottles or draught but there is real ale except a few of the late night speciality bars

  2. no not tried the litres of cider not sure if theres an other real ale places but most of bars do have a variety and most seem different to each other although many of the bar staff did look non plussed when i asked for a bitter, ale, best etc said they didnt have any untill i pointed at the pump

  3. Arcade fire - academy liverpool 2004

Spirtualised - Other Stage Glastonbury 1998

Devaid devant and his spirit Wife - Manchester University 1997

Wave pictures and stanley Brinks - Korvova Liverpool 2009

Belle and sebastian - Preston Guildhall 2001

  4. the red flag bar is in the same field as the acoustic stage at the top left side of the site. If you like your real ale - most of the bars have a choice of 2/3 ales (otter ale and gem being very good) The pub in the Fields of avalon and the bimble inn at the bottom of the park are well worth a visit

  5. There just doesnt seem to have been that much twee indie on at Glastonbury i knbow theres been a little bit on the very smaller stages. theres a lot of great band about in this genre but seems a pity theres not a load on this year anybody know if allo darlin / standard fare / brontasarus chorus / Natalie Johnson are likely to be playing. these bands dont seem to ever play up liverpool way so festivals are my only chance to catch them

  6. to anybody who only has the recent albums. whilst they are good albums belle and seb are capable of and have produced much better i.e if your feeling sinsister, tiger milk and boy with the arab strap. not as proffessionall or polished as they are now but theres a charm they seemed to have lost. as my mate says Belle and sebastian are better than the beatles

  7. they'd need to headline theres too many people whod be around other stage who'd close their ears to it saw them at reading and supporting the strokes at hyde park and the antipathy of most of the crowd to them ruined the gig.

  8. Yeah i agree they werent that great or maybe just the experience wasnt that great due to the terrible sound in 2007 but a twilight or headline pyramid slot this year would have been the stuff of legend. Im still not gonna believe they're not playing until its official but i am an eternal optimist :)

  9. not sure great headliners obviously going to get lots of media coverage. i always thought the great glasto headliners were the ones used the opportunity to catapult themselves into the stratsphere and really go on to the next level, i dont actually think its possible for any of the headliners to get any bigger just think its a pity no one like the arcade fire was given the chance to see if they could hack it and the opportunity to go massive.

  10. found that the special guests on the park generally tend to be bands who had not had anything out in while and are often in the middle of recording generally tend to be bands who would play high on the other stage / early evening on the main or side projects from very established bands / artists which are just getting started.

seen some great bands in the special guest slots on the park half of radiohead franz ferdinand etc they generally give you pretty easy hints in the daily paper i.e blues mans sideproject for the dead weather. I did find all the flags and flyers for biffy clyro a bit crass really wish i could have the hour back when i went see them
