I have definitely felt sad all week but not so much today! Quite a few horrific journeys back on a Monday previously, so taking that as a little win today!

    Amen to that

Most villagers come in through Mary’s gate. We had to have a pass out and it was checked each morning. They didn’t bother tugging the wristbands this year which they normally do.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I was a bit up and down about not having tickets in the build-up, but I ended up having a lovely time watching the coverage on television and reading the messages here. It really has been a lot of fun!

    great stuff.

It’s the fact everyone around you is packing up that makes me sad on the Sunday. Seeing people carrying stuff back to their cars is a downer. I like to put it all off till Monday.

great shout!  seeing empty pitches too.   we are a strange bunch 😁

It's been a bit of a weird journey watching it all from home.

The week before the line up was released, I had major excitement and FOMO. It was so much fun going through names and checking them out on clashfinder/Spotify all week.

Then I kinda forgot about it all until Tues when all the updates started to come in of queues etc.

Wednesday was difficult, even tho I didn't have a ticket, and I still checked for updates every hour I could during work.

All that FOMO washed away after ppl started to mention the problems with overcrowding etc.

And then actually, last night was great fun, having a few drinks, watching the sets, exchanging views on eFests. Seriously, I was loving it. Was on here for a solid 5 hours, felt like I really experienced a part of the whole weekend.

Plus, now, I don't feel like I've missed out on anything and I don't have to worry about the journey home tomorrow or the comedown that I always get post-Glasto.

So, yeah, so many ups and downs but genuinely feel like I've had the best of both worlds. Ideally I'd like to be there, but it was lovely watching all the sets without having to pack up my wellies, tent, or sleep in an oven or spending 500 quid on Thai prawn curries, haha 🙂

    spot on!

Totally agree, I always find the Sunday hard knowing it’s the last day and thinking about re-entry to reality the following day.

I think we’ve made it through the worst of it people!

    👍

  7. No real FOMO about not being there this year, if any at all then maybe on the weds/thurs (always my favourite days).

The coverage has been great, loved Billie Eilish when not knowing much about her.

i'm always a bit down on the sunday at the festival anyway, and the post glasto comedown i definitely wont miss!!!

  8. This is my first year back after 2011, I’d gotten to a point of going just because that’s what we did.  I wasn’t sure I actually enjoyed it that much anymore.  Each year since then, i watched less and less of it on TV and stopped visiting efests altogether after being a member since 2001(ish).

I’m looking forward to this year but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a one time back deal to be honest.

Will deffo be looking for the 6”6’ guy with glittery beard at the glade for sure ??

I’ll settle for storms like you get in Florida. Off there in 4 weeks. Apple forecast has lightning symbol almost every day yet when you do get any storms they last 10 minutes then all dry again in minutes. Granted it’s not a field in Somerset with 175,000 traipsing over it but still.

Currently on lockdown in lake buena vista, Florida due to a tornado! Was baking sun 2 hours ago

  10. Im kind of in a similar place as the OP, and i blame myself for always doing the same stuff at glasto. The posters who put that they never go to the pyramid always used to annoy me, but as i the years go by this approach does start to make more sense and i can see myself adopting a similar view in 2013.
