  1. KOL new album is out later this year, with a tour to follow next year no doubt.  They appeal to both the mainstream and others so like last year, I'd expect one big pop act one night, my guess is Timberlake and KOL the other, with a DJ on  the other stage... Calvin Harris perhaps.

I'll be getting mine in the next few days.  Just waiting for confirmed numbers.

Is it normally about 2 weeks the pre sale is on for?

Its only a week this year, so midnight 2nd Sep

  3. Gotta agree with both festy-dancer and watsonjm as much as I'm not into the pop vibe it now has, there is always enough to keep me entertained.  This year seemed a hell of a lot more relaxed than the previous years (one good thing for the Bieliebers I guess). I cant imagine not going after all these years, so 2017 ticket has been bought this morning!!

  4. Assuming he has a ticket for the event? They claim to have security patrols throughout the car park over the weekend, but you rarely see them so if he plans to sleep in the car chances are he will get away with it no problems.  I've seen a number of people using their transit vans with a mattress in the back over the years. But if caught he will be kicked off site. Alternative is to look for a break in the fence of the campsite (always one) but will take a fair bit of walking, needs to be lucky and can then sleep in your tent. If doesn't have a ticket buy one on the day from a tout for less than £60 as they will be desperate to get rid of them this year (but don't quote me on this).

  5. If V wanna make some cash back next year I suggest they scrap the bars and turn them into balloon dealers. I saw more money being made with the kids on the hippee crack than beer sales. One dealer in the Sure arena, whilst Duke Dumont was playing, had the longest queue of the weekend!

  6. Hey Guys, girls, this happened to me two years ago, my mate pulled out last minute and I got chatting to a group on a forum. I ended up going alone and meeting the group and it was the best thing I ever did:) this will be my 3rd year at Vfest yellow camping:) please feel free to ask any queries or get details and you can meet up with us:) #1moresleep!

Got red camp ticket so wouldnt be able to camp but could meet up in the arena Fri night

  7. What is now 'behind' the second stage ? There was always a big tent there with the fairground surrounding it ?

I think they may have moved a smaller tent there perhaps the comedy stage, but the map isnt very clear. I could be wrong

  8. Anyone else noticed the changes for Hylands this year. Looks like they have moved the Arena (i.e now dance tent) across to where the Futures stage was, but more significantly the size of the Yellow camp has reduced so no wonder that sold out pretty quickly.

  9. My friend had to cancel so I'm now going it alone too! My first festival as well so I'm understandably nervous and hoping to make some friends aha

I went alone last year and it is fine. I'm meeting my mates in the arena over the weekend, but will be camping solo as they dont like to camp, so you are more than welcome to join me if its a Red camp ticket you have.

  10. Yeah i know.  Still sent them a shittie email just to see what happens.  They are clearly struggling to give tickets away let alone sell them.

They will do what they do best and completely ignore you. The best way to get to them is via social media, put something up on twitter/FB and you stand a better chance of a reply. I honestly think the PR is now run by two 16 year old girls.

  11. Im fuming about this.  I bought back in March, where the hell is my free VIP upgrade!

You have your ticket so you are not a priority for V. What they dont know is I already have mine bought for a nice £134 for red camping, but I think even that will be way above the prices you will see next week. My guess is as low as £80.

  12. Just received an email from V offering me VIP tickets for the price of a standard ticket as I have been a loyal customer over the years.... Half price tickets next week perhaps as I think they are now starting to worry.....

  13. hold out untl the last week. It's not sold out, they'll be loads of spares. £120 mark easy if you buy off the right people.

Bagged mine last week for £134 on ebay

  14. And new acts apparently. Was going to ask anyone's guesses but the forum is quite inactive lately

Crap new acts and Olly Murs headlining. That is a joke in itself.

Im not a fan of Paloma Faith but surely she should be on the main stage and not the arena.

    New acts are:

    De La Soul

    Pendulum

    MNEK

    Nick Jonas

    The Coronas

    Conor Maynard

    Shift K3Y

    Sinead Harnett

    ZAC SAMUEL

    DJ James Glover

Now where do I buy my £50 weekend camping ticket from???

  15. Just putting it out there now, I arent going to V this year and certainly arent doing a clashfinder.

Even the younger side of the market wont be too interested with this line up I would guess. Last 2 years were heading towards the pop end but this is just shiet compared to them IMO. Theres no wow factor at all. IOW, T and Download have more of a wow factor with their headliners and top few acts, V isnt anywhere near really

If Daniel K aint going, then it has to be shit!

  16. NGHFB are headlining T so 99% won't be there unless one of Calvin/Kasabian aren't. Ben Howard may not be free, depends what day he's playing Lowlands. Rest seem pretty possible though.

Not a UK exclusive though and neither is the appearance at Calling.

    Same applies for Royal Blood.

  17. For what its worth here's my guess on some of the line up:

    Calvin/Kasabian as rumoured

Faithless are now doing the rounds so I'm gonna put them down as a certainty (I hope)

    Pharell

Royal Blood (again I can hope)

    Prodigy

    NGHFB

    Ben Howard

    Sam Smith
