Glastonbury should place a cap on the cost of their spring water though, it's really not right the amount some places (again Ice cream vans) charge for WATER
-
The rest of us camping inside the fence had to queue for water too. You got the same facilities we did, and paid a bit extra for the space
-
Perhaps then, the facilities are inadequate everywhere. I would have paid more for a level pitch and decent facilities, I'm sure many would.
I appreciate that, but I would like better. Is it somehow wrong to say that? Hey, Eavis, give us better campsites and we'll pay more.

How were the facilities 'poor'? Were you expecting the best you'd get on a normal camping campsite?
-
Just don't take them in the first place then it won't matter
-
Nope sorry but since all the tickets have photos and names on them you'll struggle and I wouldn't risk getting turned away when you've got a baby with you, I'd wait until next time
-
I would drive down with all his gear, let him go on the coach without having to lug anything other than a few cans for the journey, and then meet up in a car park somewhere. He'll have a great time :-)
It would make it far easier on the way home too.

Suck it up, follow the rules, and travel on separate coaches. I'm sure you can manage 4 hours apart considering you'll be spending 4 days together.

Traffic is bad no matter which direction you approach from, they're tiny little country lanes not designed for the amount of traffic!
Head for the carpark nearest where you want to park, carting all your atuff across site is pointless, and you've not guarantee the traffic will be any better from another carpark anyway

I've been going to Glastonbury for 10 years and I've never ever seen sniffer dogs onsite, not sure where everyone's seeing all these dogs 'everywhere'
Can't speak for train startions close by etc as I've always driven in
-
I think if you tell them in advance it'll fine fine, as far as I know they only blacklist people who take the tickets but don't show for their shift - things change all the time and it's not like you're actually trying to use the ticket they're offering you
You may get some of your deposit back but then you may find your blacklisted { if it is after the official deadline } and really you have only yourself to blame.
No future employer is going to blame you if you are up front and say - look I have already applied and been accepted for a place and then say you can work with them in 2013.
Or at the very least be up front with the litterpicking Charity and say look I am willing to stick with you but I have been offered this job and then leave it to item to decide.
I know that its very old fashioned but sometimes Honesty is the best policy

Elbow and Pixies, don't get it, bore me
-
If my friend was to take the coach would he be able to get our tickets and then meet me at the entrance to the carpark? Can you enter the carpark with only a car parking sticker and no ticket?

Take more socks than you think you need, clean dry socks make everything seems better if it's wet

I assume I missed something

My friends got 'married' in the Lost Vaguness church a few years ago but it was the last year they were doing it, I think your best bet it to try getting in touch with somewhere in the Greenfields for some kind of handfasting ceremony
-
My friend just called them and apparently they know nothing about it, has anyone actually managed to buy one??

I saw her live in Manchester a couple of months ago, she was fantastic!! I'm really looking forward to seeing her on the Avalon, hope she doesn't clash with anyone, I guess she could easily have been on one of the bigger stages but that's what I like about Glastonbury, sometimes the way things are planned out take you a little bit by surprise
-
Yeah, it's really hard to say, the folks checking tickets are all festival goers working for a free ticket so you could be lucky, but it's impossible to say for definite
-
I think the Glastonbury office number above is her best bet, it's clearly an admin error and not her fault if there was cash in her account
-
Yes, they are, when I was on the booking page earlier it only gave an option of a parking ticket, campervan tickets said sold out

You'd be best off calling See to find out

We wandered past but there was a sneaky silent disco going on in the Cider & Music bar a little bit further down so we ended up in there
