Burton is a horrendous place. I dont go out there anymore. Full of people off all walks of life with a huge chip on their shoulder looking for a fight.
As for the red stripe, I was referring to an incident that I had personally experienced.

there was some lads in front of me in the queue sat who had brought £100 worth but was queryin it wiv the bird behind the bar.... i think she gave em 35 tokens they said... i wanted 2 help em but it was so busy n we was missin daniel merriweather!!

G4S get the contract and then sub-contract to other companies I think. The security staff they had at TITP were a nightmare. Absolutely useless. They're the kind of people that you wouldn't even want in as paying punters, never mind having any kind of power.

As this was my first V festival I wasn’t aware of the whole drink token buying part. Anyway my partners and his friend went to buy the drink tokens on Saturday only to be ripped off by some scamming cow!
Both my partners and his friend gave the lady £70 each and walked away with what looked like the right amount of tickets as they seemed to tear in half on the perforated line. It was only when they went to the bar we realised she had given us £35 worth of tickets instead of £70! Surprise surprise when we complained she denied all knowledge.
We noticed at the time quite a few other people had this happen to them near us and were also complaining.
Apart from this we had an amazing time just a shame they rip people off like that.

Gave up trying to see Oasis...too many people. Keane was a pleasure though...plenty of room. I'm really suprised there aren't any laws concerning the capacity of these events...I'm sure over crowding at some of these gigs is a tradegy waiting to happen.

Really horrible what happened and stuff but if all the witnesses that were there have backed up your parents' story then I'm not sure why you would need any more? Especially if some of the witnesses were this guy's fellow security staff.

Hey fellow v festival goers, this was my first year at v, and the thing that struck me was the weather. Boiling during the day and frezzing at night, so at night i just seemed to put on everything i had haha and like tights and socks
so what was everyone else like, how many layers did you have to wear at night? just a bit of fun -
So is this the deffo procedure? do they have to give a refund? Or did they just do this cos you hassled them? LOL.

i had a crate of 24 carlings in the freezer overnight last year. only 2 cracked. i was just wondering wether cider would be any different.

So can you only exchange for beer to be drunk in the Carling area?
Or can you stroll in with 30 cans, swap it for 30 tokens and exchange it over the course of the weekend and take back to your tent?

what are the chances of my cans cracking if i leave them in the freezer overnight? my brother reckons they will all explode. however i want a nice chilled strongbow come saturday morning. (i have an ice box aswell like)

It all came from Leeds & Reading Festival a few years back. Carling were sponsoring, and said if you came back with last years they'd give you a free crate. When a few thousand did it, they shat bricks and shut up shop.
So no freebies!
