  1. four lads from Ireland heading over, staying in Budapest on monday night and will be in Novi Sad for the rest of the week! we're wondering whats happening on the tuesday and wednesday nights? is it better to go out in the city or are there things happening around the fortress/beach? see ya there...exit festival abú!!
  2. Is anyone is looking rent an apartment for Exit this year I recommend premier exit. I rented one last year, We got a beautiful new apartment in Novi Sad. A guy called Milos runs the company and he met us the second we arrived in Novi Sad, He is a cool guy and helped us any way he could. There are a list of apartments already up on the website with photos of each one and a map of Novi Sad with the location of the apartment and its proximity to the fortress. I wouldn't be able to camp at exit becuase of the extreme heat during the day + you don't get out of exit until 8am every day. Get one with air conditioning!

    171 days to go!!!!!! :O

  3. i see....well our group isn't camping but i dont really want to strap a 1/4 to my balls...

also is the beach within the festival? so can u go in and out of the beach and stages as much as you like?

so what im trying to say is does the "once your in, your in" rule apply to that area as well?

    cheers

  4. i see.... im in the process of booking flights from bristol to budapest, which have gone up about £30 in the last two days!

our plan is to fly out on the 8th (cutting it very fine) and then getting back to budapest after the fest ends, spending a couple days there and flying back on the 15th.

hopefully we will be able to find a return coach from buda to belgrade or novi sad.

  5. Yes Derm! we must make a Jelen protest!

There are exchange offices all over Novi Sad you will have no problem getting a good rate. well the pound is fairly miserable at the minute. Thank god for the euro in ireland!

  6. Granted, I'm not a fan of hers but of course she owes her fans - they bought her records. Some may have bought event tickets to specifically see her at any one of her European tour dates. Anyway, if she can't be arsed, it says it all really and Exit's better off without her.

Sooooooo, any news of a possible replacement? Massive Attack by any chance?

  7. Brilliant, so around £1 a bottle and just over for a pint, thats amazing ;)! Im soo used to paying £3+ for a pint these days.

Definitely wanna try out Jelen and Lav, ill have to make a note of that.....

I've decided to have a sober month from 8th June - 8th July, no better way to celebrate a month of no drinking than going to Exit! haha. Can't wait.

  8. So Tuborg pretty much IS Carlsberg... haha, great.

Nah to be honest as long as there's enough cold ones to go around I wont care! ;) .. warm piss water definitely isn't a good look, so fingers crossed they'll sort it this year.

Whats the deal with bringing in your own alcohol in from the town...? As i understand it you cant bring any into the festival, but what about the camping area?

Whats the general price for a pint around the local pubs in Novi Sad? I think we'll end up spending one or two days drinking around the town, until the night, then heading back to the Festival.

  9. Tuborg is owned by Carlsberg....I personally think its ok, its somewhere between 4 and 5 per cent i'd say. I think its been a popular beer in eastern europe for a long time..

we should not complain, for the price of it!

  10. Why couldn't Jelen or Lav sponser exit. Those two Serb beers are the best in the world in my book. Tuborg is dirt. Not lot looking forward to warm cans of tuborg at 5am when all the draft runs out. I hope they sort out better cooling this year!

  11. dunno what everyone's got against the exit camping?

probably the best festival camping ive stayed at; toilets not too bad, warm showers with short cues everyday (never been so clean) and i dont think i've ever slept better.... if you camp under the shade it's fine, but maybe i'm a hard bastard when it comes to heat.

to be honest i think we got lucky with the weather last year; it was beautiful, too hot...... except when the sun came up on the monday morning after the festival....then it got absolutely baking

you serious about the hotel putnik? i'm quite sad to hear that, obviously if people died . but that place was a joke; i'm too young to remember communism but i feel like that hotel hadnt changed since tito died. due to unforeseen circumstances we were forced to pay something stupid like 50 quid each on the monday night after the festival

  12. Heading over to Exit this year but with the funds currently a bit low at the minute when does everyone think the latest you could leave it before getting a ticket? Will it sell out this year? Would be class if Underworld were announced.

    Cheers guys,

    Paul.

  13. With hiphop being the predominant theme to last years lineup (snoop/ beasties/ wu tang) - looks like this years' will be a metalhead affair. Does this mean I can hope and cross my fingers for rage &/ or led zep? heavyweight additions aren't usually known about till around a week b4 tho..

saw bjork at glastonbury last year so bothered loads that she's not playing lol - had to sacrifice squarepusher to see her (they both clashed, i could hear his drum machine in the distance from the green lights of the glade stage whilst waiting for her to appear). was worth it mind :)

I NEED to see rage; not sure if they're at reading/ leeds (is that 100% confirmed yet), pink pop have sold out and dont have much money left for festivals...

    :)

  14. That's nothing compared to some of the quotes I've got. Online it says a double room is €40 - when I've emailed to enquire they've replied saying that for the Exit period rooms are €120!!!

And the most annoying thing is, if these were really nice hotels I wouldn't mind paying over the odds for them, but a lot of them are not very attractive, if I'm paying £90 a night for a hotel, it wants to be half decent at least!
