  1. Last time we researched the road closures and had a look at google maps and found a brilliant route. Saved us hours. There was one yellow sign that said 'no access to glastonbury festival' that we had to drive around, but no marshalls trying to stop us.

The locals just like to make people believe that it can't be done ;)

  2. I am not suffering from polyuria but will also be coming from Birmingham, which I'm hoping, in itself, will bring on enough sympathy to warrant a PM on how to access these back roads. Go on. You know you want to. Even if it's just to be offensive. Thanks.

  3. Please help if you can.

This year we will be bringing our friend who is 6 months pregnant and she says she cannot be too far away from the toilet as she needs to go frequently at the mo. She is dreading the car journey and being stuck in traffic for hours on end on the Wednesday morning.

I have heard that with a bit of local knowledge there are some back roads that lead to the festival car parks bypassing most/some of the festival traffic.

Is there any chance I could get a PM (don't want everyone knowing) from any of you local folk that might be able to offer some insider knowledge on how to get round the traffic queues successfully. (Coming from Birmingham so Jct 22 M5 probably)

My lovely mate will be so grateful you would not believe.

Many thanks in anticipation of some kind replies.

    Jodi.

  4. Hello, I am looking at the full lineup and need some help in making a plan on who to go see.

I like a bit of Sca/Reggae so any suggestions there on who to see?

I like melancholy, acoustic stuff too like Damien Rice / Gabrielle Aplin / David grey. Love the latest Passenger track.

I am really hoping to find someone preferably on a small stage who's voice is truly amazing.

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks for reading.

  5. Now is the time to make sure you have plenty of 500ml water bottles in the freezer if your planning to "pre-charge" your cool box.

Put the frozen water bottles in your cool box and start pre-charging Sunday Night at the latest if you are traveling Tuesday.

If you don't know what I am on about then read the first post in this thread.

Have a cool festy guys an gals :D

  6. Not sure if this has been mentioned already (I couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread..) but I've bought 3 x crates of Brothers festival cider - would it be OK to freeze them completely?? Not sure if its a stupid question but does cider expand when its frozen..?!

  7. I initially ordered a normal car park sticker and that is about to arrive on my doorstep, but 1 of our party is entitled to a disabled parking pass so we can use that instead. Hopefully I can sell-on my original normal parking pass but don't want to do it until the other one is in my mates hands. Not long to go now.

Has anyone who is expecting a disabled car park pass received it yet?

Does anyone know when the festival sends them out ?

Should we be chasing this up yet?

  8. Just to add I am registered blind and again have secured a PA ticket and disabled camping access. As Emma says turn up with your named carer and they have a ticket and wrist band waiting for you.

The disabled camping field is brilliant.

    Tips

Ask for a cut through access pass for the pyramid. It means you can use the disabled loo's there and also cuts a big swath off your journey.

I have MS and the heat was a big issue last year, use the showers they really do make a massive difference.

Don't be shy in asking for help from the staff at the campsite

Ask to be camped nearer the loo's as if they have a little vision (like myself) direct lines to the loo's make all the difference without millions of guy ropes.

If you have friends who wish to come and see you in the site they will need a wrist band. These can be picked up on site in the disabled camping tent if you meet your guest at the entrance and then ask.

I am sure you will all have a brilliant time and hope to meet you at the communal camp fire!
