  1. Oooft some right grandas on here. If you can't sleep take some earplugs with you to the festival, problem solved. Our one is an old boom box with detachable speakers but we took off the originals and put on a couple of sony hi fi ones and a wee subwoofer. It takes 12xDD batteries and is so big it is attached to it's own trolley. It's a beast. You can't listen to techno without bass!

  2. Where is 2006 in this poll? That was my favourite so far. Slam, Carl Cox, Mylo (when he was at his best), Fatboyslim and Scratch perverts played one of the best sets I've seen. The main stage had good stuff all day, no messing about with indie nonsense and all in glorious sunshine.

  3. Hi Jim, Line ups looking good although I think it would look better with myself on it! Just wondering if there are any dj competitions this year? Failing that if your stuck for a dj I'm your man. How about a wee Jim'll fix it? I won a competition to play at EXIT festival last year and I would love to play in the highlands since I'm from there. I've played International festivals but none at home. Lots of love, TheHogg.

  4. Some folk on here need to get a grip. A guy saying he hopes Debbie Harry breaks a hip, others saying that there will be folk unhappy with the dance acts and clashes. Blondie is a huge announcement who if you don't want to watch you don't have to- there will be many other things on at the same time. The dance acts are shaping up well Dave Clarke, Booka Shade, Vitalic and now Green Velvet, Mark Knight, Derrik May and Garry Beck. I don't understand how that can be seen as a weak line up, seems that if isn't the itunes electro then it is weak to a lot of people. There are heaps of stages and there will always be something on.

  5. Crookers ship has sailed. Rockness got them at the right time last year just as they have got bloody beetroots at the right time this year. Rockness has Booka Shade who have a cracking new album and are amazing live, Vitalic who will be decent, The baron etc Dance wise it's shaping up to be a very good line up. Apart from plastikman and Four Tet T in the park isn't tempting me at all.

  6. Alright folks tim is a ticking and the festival is getting closer and closer. I have a big question of upmost importance...... I am djing at the MyExit stage at the festival itself. I need to know whether it is possible to enter the festival with my dj equipment (laptop, mixer etc) play my set and then go back to my hostel safely store my gear and then come back to the festival again after? Basically can you go in and out? Im not really wanting to be carrying a heap of expensive gear about all night like. Any help would be greatly appreciated. See you at the fortress!

  7. Not sure about the general consensus but I'm delighted at the announcements so far. Dubfire back to back with Mr Hawtin sounds magic! The other techno names are good too, I doubt it would make much sense getting brand new headliners for the 10th anniversary, getting old ones to play b2b will do nicely. Delighted about Korn being announced aswell, I used to listen to them when I was in secondary school, it's going to be a huge blast from the past. "Arrrreee yoooouuuuu reeeeaaaaddddddyyyyy"

  8. Big line up for those that love D&B though I'm still waiting for the wow. Moby is a good announcement though- saw him at the loveparade last year and he was suprisingly good, he plays old rave tunes which is always a plus. Never actually been to a dubstep night so may venture to Caspa & Rusko to see what the fuss is about. Good to see the announcements have started......

  9. Thats weird! Melt festival was the other one we looked at going to, don't think I could afford to do both though. Aye that flight your on will be the same one my lot are getting, the pleasures of prestwick and Ryanair in the same day. Trying to keep costs down but think we will be getting a house or villa or that as the camping is apparently murder. The bus sounds awful but mini bus is probably the way to go on the way there. A few folk are thinking it might all be too expensive for them so no plans are definite yet.

  10. Cheers for the info. I've looked into flying to belgrade but there isn't really any cheap ones from Scotland so think we will fly to budapest and get the train. Spoke to someone who had been the other day and they reckoned to quote " the girls there are unbelievable, it's like being on another planet" sounds good! Just waiting to hear the line up now. If any of these names turn up on the bill then it will be all worthwhile! Vitalic, popof, richie hawtin, adam beyer, dubfire, efdemin, magda, funk d'void, dave clarke, jeff mills, boys noize, sven vath- Any.
