I'm gonna hold back on doing that till at least after the first round of matches - Spurs V Shitty and Liverpool v Arsenal are ones that'll help define how things pan out I reckon.

There's other players too who have tended to be played out of position - Kuyt for example. Again, if he's used in a different way, he might suddenly increase his goal tally (tho I've less hopes of this improvement than I have for Lucas).

WHilst I do expect Liverpool to do better this season, I just can't see why people think they are going to challenge for the title this season. In terms of strengthening the squad, all they've done is replace Benayoun with Cole. Any success for them this season would rely on Gerrard and Torres being fit for the whole season, but can you really see that happening?

not too up on my reserve goalies but man utd had foster from youth did they not? dunno about the rest but maybe you're right. just seems ludicrous that you'd have an experienced goalie moving from regular first team football for a decent team, to sitting on the bench for seasons.

I think from the past month the mood at anfield would have been lifted with Torres and Gerrard committing future, Cole coming in, Rafa getting to f*ck etc and I think they will be genuine challengers for the title along with City (depending on how mancini handles the squad).
Suppose the big question mark hangs over the takeover. If it doesnt go ahead within next week or so will Torres change his mind? He needs back up and not N'gog back up

I'm pretty sure (tho guessing) they're merely trying to fill the 3rd goalie slot - I don't think they're looking to buy someone who's likely to actually play.
I've just remembered who I read their new target us - the Reading goalie, Federici or something.

This is a problem that anyone with glasses usually has to endure from moronic no-glasses types.
If you have glasses, suddenly you somehow resemble Harry Potter AND Jeff Goldblum AND Clark Kent. Usually in these situations I like to fire back their lookalike-logic right back at them; if they're balding a bit I say they look a bit like Karl Pilkington, if they're fat I say they look a bit like Eamon Holmes, if they're short then I say they look a bit like Warwick Davis, if they have a massive arse then I say they look a bit like Station from Bill And Ted's Bogus Journey.

i'm basing this on the fact that kris boyd scored a grand total of 1 goal against celtic in his entire career for rangers and kilmarnock. now, as you say that the championship is of a similar level, then boyd will struggle for goals against the majority of those teams. he only scores against poor teams. check his european record and internation record as well.
