Sorry to say but think you are in for a disappointment this year

A pretty shitty thing to announce after you have sold out!

I agree, I'm off to to truck for the first time. Bought a ticket as a bit of a buffer in case of not getting s Glasto ticket ( which I didn't!), and this was a selling point for me.

Surely they knee that their licence for this year included this clause and could have advertised it when they started selling tickets! Rubbish!

There should be a system where the tickets can be transferred but for face value only.

I hole heartedly agree with this, for the second year a row,I have the time of work, the money the bank but have been unable get a ticket having tried all the sales missing the 2 minute secret resale by not being able to have my phone at work with me.

I live on a narrowboat in the middle of the countryside where internet speeds are not up with those elsewhere. I can't always get to super speed broadband!

If there were a system in place to transfer,no ticket would go to waste, more money would go to charity and more people who love the festival would not be left disappointed.

  3. There are seven of us in lyt 1 this year. It's or third year of doing it. Great to have your site allocated already, nice to have fairly clean showers and wash facilities. Staff are nice and it is quiet at night. Best reason for doing it was to avoid all the footy hooligans that were going around the public campsites drunkenly singing and falling over things.we saw that the first year and it made our minds up! :-)

  4. Hi all,

    Regular watcher, very little poster.

Have sort of accepted that I won't be getting a ticket for this year even though I the time off and only want 1 ticket have resigned myself to trying to win  a ticket.

Thatchers have a competition running at the moment to win a pair tickets, only thing is, I need the name and d.o.b. of someone else.

Just looking for the first person to let me know above details so I can take part.

So whoever needs one ticket, send me your details.

Love you all folks, throughout the last few weeks, you've been entertaining me no end, just want to be able to go to the greatest show on  earth again and not sit at home watching it wishing I was there like last year! :-)

  5. Thanks guys I appreciate that but I'm still not happy gonna have to have a word and find out what happened I'm not giving up

cityboy 75, you are a good man.

Even if I have to sit at home and watch Lauren Laverne bimblling on, I will still raise a cider to yourself and Siblin for your tireless energy, dedication and commitment that you've shown.

    Cheers loves

  6. fair one.. tho most people use the whatsapp application on their phone. Then they see the alerts and can jump onto the website.

But with any luck we might see something in a few minutes anyway.

    Fingers crossed for you :)

    My phone is prehistoric

  7. Cheers Technohead.

Holmz, don't really want to download whatzapp at this time to jam up computer and potentially miss sale just for one thing.

If it does pull off though, Cityboy will have yet another cider or whatever the equivalent (was it money to charity)

    good luck

  8. I'm hoping that someone will announce when they discover that they go on sale on these pages.

Tried on ticket day. No luck

Tried on resale day - no luck

Was by computer on secret resale day 1 from 9.00 a.m. - had to start work at 2.00 - checked at 2.00 nothing then they went on sale at 3.00 grrrrrrrr!

    Have weekend off work

    Have money in account

    Just need a ticket

    just the 1

  9. Liz, posted on this before. I'm going solo for the 1st time this year. Usually go with a group that I sort of know. Having said that, usually spend most of day on my own anyway. It's great to have no deadlines and you can just womble about and then go back to the tent/go to bed. When you want. My idea is to set up camp tomorrow, hopefully on Innards, it'll be easier to find a spot for one tent, make friends with neighbours and have a whale of a time meeting random people over the weekend. I would say that 99% of people on site are lovely and welcoming (you'll always get the odd knobhead) Be yourself and enjoy yourself!

  10. I'm going on my own too.

Have been to Glasto about 6 times now with friends and friends of friends and always spend most of my day on my todd.

Am not worried in the slightest about it as you can be as independent as you like and soak in the best the festival has to offer.

I would say about 98% of people are remarkably friendly (You always get a few knobheads!, but there seems to be fewer at Glasto than other festivals! ). I always get left with a big smile on my face.

Excellent place for people watching and as somebody mentioned striking up conversations with the most random of people.

Glastonbury really is a fantastic place, just embrace the atmosphere and prepare to meet new friends at every corner.
