Would do me very nicely for the 2 big stages. Really, really hope there is some reincarnation of the T Break to support small Scottish acts.

That would be fab. My feeling is it will be more like a Summer Sessions type festival......1 stage with 4-5 bands each day. I hope I'm wrong!

  2. Agree Red Day. We did Werchter this year with the kids. Got the feeling that this is a festival organised by music lovers. The lineup was fantastic. The sound was spot on no matter where you were standing. Free transport as soon as you hit Belgium. Flushing porcelain toilets in the arena. Couldn't really fault it. 4 full days for about the same price as T even with the flights included. RIP TITP!

  3. Werchter is 85k i think. The timings at RW are pretty clever and generally most decent bands will get a crowd. Seems sad they get a fantastic reception at RW and hardly anyone bothers with them at T. War on Drugs was a highlight at RW for me and again nobody bothers watching them at T. Bloody sad

  4. I think that the best place for you and your family is the A1 campsite. It's the closest one to the concerts area. Do not set your tent near the bar/showers/toilets cause there is noise ;) (because of the electric rope, and also because a band of campers in a huge tent put music loud all night long)

    Thankyou so much :-)

  5. Hi, we are going to Rock Werchter for the first time this year and have a question about camping. We will be taking kids, they've been going to festivals since they were 2 years old and are now teenagers so I'm sure they are ready to handle Werchter. However they are not up for partying all night so I'm wondering where is the best place for camping? We have got ordinary camping tickets for arriving on Thursday morning. Any other useful information is appreciated.

  6. All available tickets gone. Talk of extra saturday day tickets in the future possibly. Somehow they've managed to sell 40 extra camper van tickets than they have space for too so they'll be having fun.

Pixies would be a great booking if they didn't have them up against Biffy. I just can't understand the mentality.

  7. We had the same problem on Friday morning, told to empty the kids water bottles and fill them up inside, but it turned out there was nowhere to fill them up inside. When I went back to complain they told me they had changed the rules cos other people had complained and now unopened water bottles were allowed. Pity I had emptied mine out!

They had slackened right off by Saturday and we didnt get searched all day.

Great Festival all in all though, one of the best, you should consider coming back. :)
