  1. I don't get this. It's not like the server's got an 'expectedDemand' flag that you can set to 'lots'. It would cost a phenomenal amount of money to have servers that could cope with all the transactions at the same time.

    Here's a thought: the techies at See know that they're going to get hit with a massive amount of traffic and they do everything they can to make it work as well as possible while staying secure and robust. You might not feel that the system worked well but consider the other things that could go wrong that didn't -- for example, the db could become corrupted and all the ticket transactions up to a point could get lost.

  2. Seetickets do my head in. Whatever the event they always seem completely unprepared for the demand. Saying that though it's difficult to imagine a system that everyone would be happy with regardless of if they got tickets or not. I agree that it seems bonkers that some people were able to get through on more than one occassion yet some people never got through at all. I don't know much about computers so I don't know if they could stop individual computers getting through more than once, however at least the tickets aren't going to touts like every other festival.
