  1. Apparently the Aerosmith tour is called the Global Warming Tour so they could be the Friday headliner but the tour dates I have seen show them playing the USA & Canada in June, July & August.

Whilst Leonard Cohen did play the O2 arena I don't think he would be able to sell out Hyde Park on his own unless there is a stronger undercard.

  2. Don't think it will be Pearl Jam - apparently a few European festivals, including Pinkpop, have tried to get them and were told it wasn't possible, because their new album wouldn't be out by then, and so they wouldn't be touring.

Plus, as someone has already said, Matt Cameron will be drumming with Soundgarden at some point next year, having just recorded some new music with the band. I suppose they will be touring that - no point in not promoting it. Soundgarden are maybe a bit too "heavy" for IOW eh?

However, Springsteen/Pearl Jam would be a phenomenal line-up. Green Day put on a great show too, it would be good to see them headline such a major festival.

  3. Does anyone have any news on who else may play?

Looks like Soundgarden are playing Download.

I have seen Bryan Adams and The Eagles rumored on another website but I think The Eagles are in Germany that weekend.

Maybe Van Halen if they tour this year or possibly R.E.M?

  4. What about Rush to headline one of the other nights?

They are doing a European tour in late spring next year and are open to playing a festival or two in Europe.

The Rolling Stones hve played Hyde park before so they could be the other headliner with Prince (if true) or maybe something like Van Halen/The Scorpions?

  5. Roger Waters would have been good.

I reckon one of the Glastonbury headliners is playing and I think it may be U2 but could be wrong on that.

Iron Maiden are playing festival and stadium dates in Europe around the time of HRC so they may play although not to sure if they are the type of band for HRC.

Also Pearl Jam are doing a world tour next year so that would most likely rule out Soundgarden.

Maybe someone like Simon & Garfunkel would play if they are still touring or possibly the Foo Fighters or Muse?

  6. All three days were fantastic for me, some great supporting acts like Funeral Party but the the headliners were superb and look forward to seeing who plays next year.

Just waiting for the Bootleg of Pearl Jam's performance to be made available on their website and I'll buy that and I hope at least one of the headliners performances is released on DVD.

  7. Can I ask everyone, what tickets do you currently have in hand?

I'm going to all 3 days, but only have the Friday ticket so far.

But I've seen people on their Facebook page who seem to have the Sunday as well, or only the Saturday, or waiting on the Friday tickets etc., noone seems to have the same ones.
