  1. In terms of the piss/drink throwing I got soaked once (Kaisers), and a bit wet a few other times, but didn't really care too much. If everyone just stood there doing nothing while the bands played it would be kinda boring after all.

  2. Wow - couldn't agree more Oxfordmark - was just about to post practically the same post!

I've been going to V for a good couple of years now and can honestly say I've never felt more vunerable / scared as I did on the Sunday night in Gold campsite (which is meant to be one of the quiet ones!). Camped up behind a bunch of lads who were openly dealing drugs day and night, constantly played music the whole of Saturday night - but thought it was probably time to turn it off at 8am on the Sunday morning - meaning no sleep whatsoever for us there just to enjoy the bands and have a laugh with our mates.

On Sunday night - there were tents on fire, constant noise and shadows passing by our tents all night - I daren't go to sleep for fear of being set alight or having some kn*b fall / try to get into my tent. One of our group (a 19 old girl - first time festival goer) was awoke by one someone actually unzipping her tent and shaking her leg to see if she had any drugs to sell!!!! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!

What's happened to V? I know they can't help who buys their tickets, but surely there must be better policing of the campsite maybe asking people to keep it down a bit and generally keeping a bit of order.

Oh and I personally thought the the line up was poor - too many 'pop' and 'rap' acts for my liking - tho thought Cast, Kaisers, Arctics, FLC and dare I say The Wanted and Example got good vibes going. Will definately be waiting to see who's on next year before purchasing my ticket in early bird offer.

    Apart from that....I enjoyed it!

  3. This year at Weston seemed really bad. So many drunk twats acting like knobs (normally happens, seems like more)

Little kids in groups drinking, bashing into our tent, shouting all through the night puking everywhere... Thats what you get for having Eminem and other chavvy acts.

I felt intimidated all weekend, scared to sleep in case someone fell through our tent. So we left 6pm on Sunday. Parking 3 miles from the nearest campsite didn't help, poorly planned. Lugging a 4 man tent, bag with clothes and food etc isnt fun and knackered us out for the first day. This is the 4th V and never experienced this before.

Good music and atmosphere in the arena, SHIT campsite

  4. Yes...our house is a totally different thing. OUR GARDEN is for anyone with a Virgin mobile phone, you get a text too enter and have too open the link to reveal a barcode to gain entrance. Last time i went there 2 years ago, you got a free wrap, bag of crisps and a drink ( beer, coke ) for 2 people. You could also have your hair straightened or blow dryed by some nice ladies, and there were massages and nice comfy bean bags too lie on and decent toilets in porta kabins. No live music. But nice too lie on the grass and recharge your batteries :)

  5. I also have a ferry ticket available...

  6. Perhaps, still think they'd make a big deal of it. Say on twitter and on the page that the Special Guest is set to be announced at a certain time and create a bit of publicity or whatever. It all seems very rushed
