  3. I haven't but the back of my husband made the front page of NME re Glastonbury 2007 showing the muddy Pyramid field, he's hard not to miss 6ft 4" wearing an ill fitting bucket hat in shorts with wellies and covered in mud😂 I'm 5ft 3" so it's easy for me to blend into the crowd sadly our copy was lost in our house fire in 2018 we thought it would be safe in our loft with our other valuables plus all our Glasto gear including numerous travel johns 😰

I've made it into our local paper a few times for my drama days at school and appeared on Songs of Praise and mimed in our school choir.... can't sing and they stood me near a microphone!

Plus I'm sure I've been in various episodes of Bergerac when they filmed here in Jersey when Nettles was a hottie and Jersey had a tourism industry

Count me in on loving Better Call Saul.

In contrast, I'm also watching Ozark and it's quite shit I think. I guess expectations are high after watching BCS.

I loved Ozark it totally wasn't what I thought it would be it was so much better seasons 1 and 2 are great then season 3 has a lot of Laura Linney in it but great stories and the way it comes together in the end I had to pick my jaw up from the floor.

Currently watching Bloodline it's slow so hubs has now signed off on it but I'm going to persevere I'm curious to know how everything fits together.

Started watching Dark too, once you get passed the awful dubbing it gets better.

If you like Stephen King then try and catch Castle Rock he's a producer I think and there are a lot of references to places and characters from his books. Bill Skarsgard is great in the first season and Lizzy Caplan plays a cracking early version of Annie Wilkes in the second. Definitely worth a watch.

  5. Our first ever Glastonbury (2007) we were sat on sofas round strummerville listening to Beans then Frank Turner one of the many moments we fell in love with Glastonbury and all its muddy marvellousness can't wait to go back 🤗

This was the last time we managed to get tickets and was 6 months from my ruptured aneurysm and craniotomy the first time I had an access pass which came in so handy for the short cuts and loos. I was totally wrecked afterwards and thought I'd never get fit again to do it all over but I never stopped trying for tickets and we went to Isle of Wight in 2018 and I had recovered a lot more since 2013 I still have issues but nothing will stop me having a whizz bang jolly good time.

  7. I saw Peter Hook and the Light do unknown pleasures at Hop Farm 2012 the same year as Peter Gabriel and Bob Dylan

They were awesome and it was a great weekend it was to be the last one at Hop Farm I think which is a real shame as that was a gem of a festival. This is where I first heard The Jezabels live and they were excellent.

  8. After being away for 6 years I'm hoping for the lamb burgers again which were divine and near the cider bus I think ?!

Also had vegetable thali somewhere which was awesome.

In 2007 amidst the mud chaos we found a seat for some grub in the park and was chuffed to see John Noakes and his family behind us I know that dates me somewhat but I was a wee tadpole when he was on. Blue Peter. I mostly remember him from his bizarre cameo in Flash Gordon.

  9. I've been very hesitant of sharing the rumour with my other half thinking h'll go "ah bugger it's all shit I don't want to go" as he can be very funny when it comes to headliners but I was shocked that he said "I really like some of her stuff"  ?

For me its about everything that Glastonbury is all about but my other half loves live music and we're going to see Paul Weller next year in Amsterdam and The Who in somewhere I forget ? but Glasto is a big deal for us as we have to travel from Jersey and because of my "different abilities" we need a motorhome so as we sold ours 6 years ago (which was the last time we managed to get tickets) we now have to hire one, so it's our holiday of the year we leave Jersey on the Monday before and leave on the following Monday so its near enough a whole week which but we've agreed no Christmas pressies just our trip to Glastonbury is our big treat.

So when I managed to get tickets there was some heavy celebrations now OH is up for the fest in all its glory and we may lurk around the Pyramid longer than normal is a surprise ?

    2007 was my first

stand outs were Iggy and the stooges, Jon fogerty and a pissed guy stood stuck in the mud with people taking their photos with him. Oh and I notice on the poster some woman by the name of Adele very early on the park stage, didn’t see her but I wonder what happened to her??

Same 2007 was my first and we were hooked we were stumbling around in the mud and came across the blockheads the whole place just blew me away there's no feeling like the one when you turn the road in the car en route and you see the festival laid out before you, awe inspiring. The last time we managed tickets was 2013 and I was 6 months into recovering a ruptured brain aneurysm craniotomy and a stroke so for the first time in my life I was sat on an access stage watching the Stones didn't think it could ever get better than that so hoping for an epic year next year ?

think the prime real estate location is the main appeal isn't it? They also have showers and toilets and doesn't look overcrowded. But sounds like the tipis themselves are basic so you still have to bring all your comforts.

Would love to try it one year.

I tried it in 2007 when they first did them they weren't monsoon proof ? the toilets were ok ish and the showers worked one random time one night thankfully after my poor husband had fully fallen on his back in the mud so he went in clothes and all and washed up! It was our first Glasto and we've been going whenever we manage tickets but back then the cost was £1500 ish I think but this also included 6 tickets so time has certainly changed. I have access problems now so can't do the tipi again and managed to get a camper pass thank goodness.

  12. I used one tab on my iMac wireless and in Jersey where we don't have super duper internet and only one real provider of broadband being Jersey Telecom (if you want to set up and use it you have to rent off of Jersey Telecom anyway so we have a fully fledged monopoly) I had my phone on twitter in case I heard they were sold out whilst I was still trying.

I got through at 9:18 and from 9am was just hitting refresh on that one page then I finally got to the page that says it will refresh in 20 seconds but I kept refreshing and then got through to quickly enter in my reg and hubbys reg details we were going to help our friends but they had forgotten to register - they've never been not for the want of listening to my advice though so they're going to register on 1 november. once I entered our details went straight to payment and I entered up info and was processed super quick we've had our confirmation emails but no money has come out the account yet but there enough in there so I've still got my fingers crossed.

Last time we managed tickets was 2013 first time for us was 2007 mud fest but it gets under your skin and the urge to return we were planning to visit the area out of festival season just to view the glorious countryside.

So we have endured the pain of not getting tickets and the joy of getting them my only tip is if it chucks you out press the back tab thing instead of trying again as that has worked for us in the past but truthfully I think it's just luck, I really wasn't even going to bother i thought our chances were so slim but I don't like to be pessimistic.

I'm still not counting my chickens though! have to see the money out of my account before I can rest easy.

  13. I bought mine through the link which was AXS Or something and could only see three options of tickets general, platinum and meet and greet the meet and greet were ground level and circa £495 platinum were ground floor bit further back £150ish not sure what you get for those maybe a shiny lanyard and it looked like it took a heck of a lot longer for those to sell out!!

I'm happy with my Saturday ticket choice and can't wait!! I don't care about how old they are. I loves them!!
