Have you ever listened/heard of Hole before?
-
I think it would be silly for hole to headline the nme i'd even go as far to say they should headline FR tent and before anyone says they are too big consider echo and the bunnymen headlined it in 2005 and they are arguably bigger and better.
But knowing leeds and reading they will put hole as the headliner.
-
Faith No More's crowd last year in leeds was half fulll! I could have swung a cat around and it wouldn't have hit anyone. They were still very good though.
-
I did at first but listening recently I think I was just kidding myself. It isnt terrible just 'alright'...
-
Let your friends get their own tickets. Everyman for their self!

Has anyone listened to the new track.... I'm sorry but I would usually defend weezer to the end but I'm losing faith in them. The Red Album was a disapointment (better than make believe) and this new song sounds like they going down the same road. Blue, Pinkerton, Green, Maladriot - fine collection of albums.
The new Weezer just sounds overproduced and tired. Sorry. I would still love to see them though.

Glasto:
Muse/Radiohead
Pearl Jam
U2/Coldplay
V:
Arctic Monkeys
Green Day/Linkin Park
Leeds & Reading
Linkin Park/Green Day
Kasabian/Libertines
ACDC - not sure bout that
The slash means either one of the them not both
I think its still too early for muse n pearl jam to return
-
anyone remember the prices?
-
Usually they have some comedy or spoken word bands playing alt stage. Who do you think they'd have?
-
The thing is since 2006 the audience of the leeds festival has changed. Festivals have become increasingly popular and leeds & reading have become the biggest festival for targetting young audiences esp students. Like it or not FR want to keep the young blood in and the way they do it is by bringing in mainstream radio bands because they sell tickets. L&R will always have a few punk and metal bands but it wouldn't surprise me if they started bringing in more pop indie acts like keane, the kooks, the script, scouting for girls and lily allen in next few years.
-
Bad news guys, looks like they won't be playing they've got a gig on the 30th August in Columbia, MD which is the radiohead day at reading. Sorry.
-
I wish the organisers would realise that a band like madness would go down really well. They seem to think that any band pre 1990 are a risk (unless they are a headliner).
-
I honestly think for both them and Lostprophets there could to be a serious health and safety issue due to the sheer amount of people trying to get to see them.
-
Here's my list of bands who I have a feeling are gunna be announced:
Faith No More
You me at six
Sonic Boom Six
King Blues ( playing V i know but stranger things have happened)
The Hold Steady - high nme or low main stage
NOFX - low mainstage
Little Boots
Baddies
Pendulum
Marmaduke Duke
Dinosaur Pile Up
Ladyhawke
More hopeful:
Echo and Bunnymen
Weezer
Dinosaur jr

Nothing is ever 100% with position! Does everybody remember The Last Shadow Puppets last year?? Nobody expected that...
-
Can I just confirm whether this is awesome Aussie rockers Airbourne, or some non entity I've never heard of called Airborne Toxic Event
-
Just listened to gossip's new song nowt great! Unless it gets an advert or a great video I can't see it being a dancefloor hit...
-
gaslight anthem and yeah yeah yeahs for me!
-
Announcement this week maybe?
-
I agree with the previous comment i suspect the record labels are confident of big airplay with future gossip material which pretty much guarantess success unless your the bravery.
-
The only reason the gossip are headlining is cause glasvegas dont have enough material to headline and most likely didnt want to headline. I saw em in Preston in december - they played for 45 mins! Its a stupid descision by FR that tent will be empty when the gossip go on. If they can't even sell out manchester club academy they've got no chance!

Do you think they'd do xtra dates?
Arcade Fire or Pendulum
in Reading & Leeds Festivals
Posted
Didn't Pendulum hit their peak two years ago? Arcade Fire all the way!
