  1. getting closer guys!! I'm away from the 1st july til the 21st so can't bloody wait!

anyway - EURO QUESTION... I need to pay various hostels in euros-whats the best way of me doing this which avoids having to carry loads around?

do any atm's give you a choice of taking euro? or are euro traveller's cheques the best bet?

will i need euro's for anything else or is serbian money the usual?

  2. Oh shit, my boyfriend will be a mess on that stuff! He'll be swimming in the Danube no doubt....

Is there a programme nearer the time that you can download from the exit website or do you have to buy it in town?

  3. hi all! first exit visit so a couple of questions:

im camping so.... what is the situation with your items when you leave the camp? i understand you can take a small rucksack into the festival arena... so what happns with everything else? are there lockers etc?

    thanks guys

  5. Bus is another, quicker-and-just-a-little-bit-more-expensive-than-train alternative. Main bus station is next to train station in Belgrade, by the way... You can catch the bus to Novi Sad in any 30 minute interval during the day. Also, trains are often late...

  6. Hehe, I don't drink beer ;) Unbelieveable, huh? :(

When you enter the festival via main entrance (not at the clocktower), follow the road to the left, before the gate, but after check-in gates - nightclub is called "Jelisavetin Bastion"

  7. If memory serves me well, beer/wines were 1-1.5 eur, same goes for food (with slightly wider price range, say 1-3 eur). It's not hard to buy stuff inside, even if you don't learn few phrases, you'll be fine - most locals speak english "well enough" :( There'a night club inside the fortress, which works on its own, and sells all sorts of drinks. I doubt anything else than beer, red/white wine, bottled water, guarana (energy drink) and soft drinks will be sold at festival bars...

@bspeed: you mean, nice and *strong* beer? ;)

  8. Luckily for you, with every purchased ticket, you get gift sim card with 1.25 eur of prepaid credit (somewhat less than 30 minutes of talk) and 100% free voice and 3G calls between any two gift sim cards for during the festival! So, just bring your phones... TBH, I'm not sure if they will give those gift sim cards when you exchange e-ticket for the real one...

  9. @Esme: there's no such things as train from Zagreb to Novi Sad... :D But, there are trains from Zagreb, Venice, Ljubljana to Belgrade. From there, you can easily catch the bus to Novi Sad. I'll try to find out the prices if possible... Also, I can tell you departure/arrival times if you're interested.

  10. Count me in :P The least crowded place near dance arena is where DJ Superstar stage was placed last year (at the steps before the hill to dance arena), so it might be cool to meet even there, though no bars around, it's the least noisy place that everyone can (and will) hit, IMHO

by the way, zextra A.T. gmail D.O.T. com is my email

  11. Bastion is open for general public, and yes, they sell all kinds of drinks. It's not related to the festival in anyway - it's open during whole summer (this weekend was opening night), parties every weekend...

Tunnel behind Dance Arena stage is closed for public during festival (it's open 5pm-8pm or something like that, until security arrives ;)) and it's reserved for artists and people with special pass. Not sure about other, public-open tunnels, accessible during festival itself (except ones at Bastion)...

  12. I'm back

Someone said lineup might be related to ticket sales. This is somewhat true, but it's more related to band & artist tourneys during that period. Not everyone plan their tours 6 months ahead  You will know what I'm saying if you remember Kellis cancelling her European tour for no specific reason - of course, her performance on Exit fest was cancelled as well.

As of bookings and reservations, I believe there will be some way to find (good) accomodation, and book it, but can't give more info since there's nothing out in the air yet. :|

Most of the info you will find regarding EXIT on the internet is info from previous years - impressions, comments, critics, reviews... There's a lot of it around the 'net B)

    Best regards,

    zextra

  13. Tickets are available on sale as of Dec 7th, 2006, but only in Serbia. Not sure about reservations from abroad, though ;), but I guess they will update English part of the site when they have something interesting to say ;)

EXIT007 will take place on July of 12-15th, 2007.

Not much more info from me just yet, eh. :/

Hope to see you all here during EXIT fest :D

    Cheers!
