  1. Almost exactly the same experience for one of my friends in 2013 so I can back up the story above as something that does work! She claimed it must have dropped out her bag during the death march to the gate.

I spoke to the Glastonbury Office again this afternoon and said that exact same situation. They said if you arrive at the gate and have lost your ticket you will not be allowed in.

  2. I honestly can't believe i'm writing this. We have lost our tickets(2 in total)

Girlfriend received them from Post Office and now we cannot find them anywhere in our flat. We have searched high and low all night. Assuming they have been thrown out by the cleaner or another flat mate.

I've been in touch with Glastonbury Festival Office and See Tickets but they state that the Ticket Condition is "No Replacements"

I've read through many of the other threads on the topic, in particular http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/185840-help-friend-has-lost-their-glasto-ticket/page-3 in which a lady states she managed to have a ticket held for her at the gate.

My friend managed to get a replacement ticket! :) She had to go through a lot of proving that she had genuinely lost her ticket and the festival have agreed to retain one at one of the gates, however she doesn't get a physical ticket I don't think - just one guaranteed entry with ID. As you can imagine, she is relieved.

In my case this doesn't seem to be an option for some reason.

    Literally clucthing at straws here.

Does anyone have any other advice?

  3. Any horror stories? We camped next to a person with the loudest snoring EVER! I had ear plugs in, ear muffs on and a Bobble hat and it was still so loud.

Surely these people need their own camping field?

Someone walked past and said they sounded like a wart hog. I thought that was a very good description of it.

  4. Hi,

We are going to Coachella Weekend 2, this is our plan:

Fly from Manchester on 14th April to LA(Changing at Chicago)

We are in LA until Thursday 19th April. While we are in LA we are hiring a small car and going to Santa Monica, Malibu, Huntington Beach etc. We are also going to see Miike Snow and Big Pink on the Tuesday and Wild Beasts on the Wednesday.

We pick up a bigger car on the Thursday at 2pm and then plan to drive across to Coachella. Hoping to arrive at Will Call about 4pm the onto the festival.

We are just going to get camping equipment in LA.

After the festival we are flying from Palm Springs on the Monday to San Francisco for 5 days. Planning to check out a few more gigs like M83, Real Estate and Tune Yards. We've also got tickets for Alcatraz.

We then fly home on Saturday 28th April!

Anyone who wants to hook up in LA, Coachella or San Fran drop me a message! It's gonna be awesome!!!!

  5. Exactly: it won't solve a thing and would just make Glastonbury seem like money-grabbers.

We got into W39 at 7.30 am (no queues to get in!), in the queue for gate D by 8, and then waited 3 hours in the pissing rain to get in. The worst thing was there were loads of people cutting the queue by going through (and damaging) the hedgerows, and security were stood by letting them! That REALLY pissed me off. There needs to be more organisation in the car parks, and definitely some stewards.

  10. Took us 4 hours from Swindon leaving at 7am and arriving at 11am

We got within 10 Miles, got sat nav to calculate alternative route, did 9 miles in 10 minutes and rejoined the main road with 1 mile to go.

Anyone who did not pull off the A39/A361 and go down the lanes must off your heads. What did you have to loose?
