Can't be bothered reading this massive thread but I read the first two pages. All that I think I really want to say is that eFestivals (Neil) is clearly a total moron.
Though I guess across 17 pages someone's already said that.
Well done to the bloke who broke in, and next year I hope there's a fairer and more sensible system; one I'm sure Neil will think is completely perfect as well.

Maybe I'm missing something but the Friday at Reading is repeated on the Saturday at Leeds, not the Sunday. So if we're debating The Offspring as a Friday night NME headliner at Reading, their French festival appearance on the Saturday precludes them from headling the NME stage after Jame T, so it's case closed. Am I wrong?

They plan to do an English festival. I spoke to Shearer last week after he came to speak at the Oxford Union. He mentioned that he knows someone who organises Big Chill. I told him Glasto was the one to play but he basically said they'll take what they can get because they really want to play in the UK again. So maybe not Glasto, but hopefully somewhere!
