  1. Can anyone see the information about 2023 ticket holder discount on the website?

Edit: Ah, you just have to pop in your email address as the discount code. Guess we'll find out on Friday how much that discount is 😂

  2. The Good:

The atmosphere is just magical, the decor in the wooded area is just fantastic. Please someone else donate some good books to the woodland library though.

Panda Bear & Sonic Boom were a highlight for me, love the reset album so that was a joyful time.

Royel Otis were great and seemed genuinely chuffed to be there.

    The Bad:

The decision to not take cash at the bars was not a great one in my opinion.

    The Ugly:

Sorry to say this again, but the toilets were bad.

I really am all for compost toilets, it's a positive move for sure but I've got to echo the requests for lighting, hooks, clear instructions for people who haven't used them before and more urinals.

My legs are too short to navigate any sort of hovering scenario so had to proceed a clean up operation every single time I needed to use the facilities. Frankly, I feel like I should have been paid for my services there.

I'm on the lookout for something to do in addition to EotR. Ideally much earlier in the season to bookend the summer.
(Wondered about Bearded Theory but I dunno.)

Bearded Theory is my local festival so got a soft spot for it really.

It was taken over by a promotion company last year I think and there were a lot of grumbles about changes but overall people seemed happy and dhp run some quality venues so I'm personally not mad about that to be honest.

The general vibe is a lot more nostalgia leaning than eotr but it's enjoyable and the maui waui and convoy cabaret stages usually have some more interesting acts on.

Convinced myself the ??? will be The Walkmen. They played Eotr before and are currently on a 10 year comeback tour of the UK, playing London the week of the festival with no dates that weekend.

They were originally UK festival exclusives for Green Man, but were added to the All Points East lineup where most of the new Eotr additions can also be found. They are the right size for the slot, and the Green Man billing explains the contractual reason to not announce it sooner!

    Am I right??

    Probably not

I went to see them on Sunday in case they're not ??? So, they probably are.

  5. I was initially disappointed but thought I'll no doubt find some gems on the playlist (great that EOTR make and share a playlist at this stage, love that ) but I'm totally uninspired so far.   I can't really see what's justifying the ticket price at this stage.I'm sure I'm just being grumpy cos I had my stupid heart set on the Walkmen.

Anyone found anything new they are into on the lineup yet?

  6. Does anyone know if there'll be day tickets available for the Thursday at all?
I'm hoping to get a day ticket for 1 of the Metallica days, I'm kinda thinking Thursday might be easier to get but maybe have more oldies in the set?

I think this years lineup looks mega 🤩I can't manage the full weekend this year but would if I could!

Come on Walkman reformation. You know which UK festival you want to play!

Gah I've never put them on a wishlist cos it seemed so damn farfetched.

I would LOVE to see the walkmen at end of the road

  8. Does anyone know when the Björk performance changed from an 'audio-visual performance will feature bespoke video and animated projections on the iconic Lovell Telescope' to the more intimate performance we got? Seems like it was an excellent performance for some, and not quite so great for others who could barely hear the strings and couldn't see anything.

I was just expecting some incredible visuals based on the description when I brought tickets, and it being, well, Björk.
