Seeing a lot of tweets about very very limited availability for Dublin. Short queues but just not much choice except nosebleeds or VIP

Wondering if this is related to it being a ticketmaster sale only? They weren't required to split evenly with AXS so could hold more back for next week? Not sure why they would though....

I think for future tours with this demand, there’s a lot to be learned from how this was handled in the UK. The unique pre sale codes, staggered on sales, allocation of ticket sites, account linked tickets and limits per customer helped enormously. It’s rewarded the fans dedicated enough to be aware of the pre sale offer last year and it’s all been fairly civilised. No server overloads, no surge pricing and reasonable prices in the context of the market have all been pleasant surprises. The main issues seemed to be on the tech side with the anti-bot stuff, but the demand being managed so carefully worked really well. Next week may well be a sh*t show, it depends how many codes they send out vs tickets left, but after Paris you’d hope they’ve learned that lesson.

Curious why they seemingly went the extra mile in the UK though? Anticipating the demand be particularly high given the number of tickets?

I did wonder this last point too - UK seems to be one of the only European countries where she consistently gets #1 albums, so popularity for sure, but also could be related to album sales? I probably wouldn't have bought the album if it wasn't for the presale access (did not realise there was a no purchase necessary option at the time).

Yeah its lots of fluff for nothing to get hits. I think overall these sales lucked out because the traffic never got too insane to still be able to get in eventually and buy. The verified sale still has a chance to be a shitshow since theres no indication how many people will get it.

This morning it went pretty well because you could tell there were people who were trying their code again and realizing it didnt work so the queue went much faster compared to Monday. And might hint as to how fewer people signed up for the free presale code compared to buying the album? As much as some of the swifties tried to think ahead last year they didnt take 30 seconds for backup.

Funny thing was Boygenius had presales this morning for some new fall dates in some big venues and there was more panic and stress from people overall than the midnights presale. Again, since no safeguards were put into place. Just the band publicly posting the password and even having platinum/dynamic activated so a pair of lower bowl seats at MSG went for $800 on average. And the clueless fanbase just buying up tickets or hoping prices drop in the piblic onsale.

I did see that on Boygenius' insta - not sure how posting a presale code on socials makes it a 'fan presale' imo. Even for their London show, the presale was done through getting a code via email sign up. Only £50 to see them here - I do feel we get lucky with the prices in the UK vs. the US and their dynamic pricing

Feeling like I may regret getting two GA standing rather than golden circle tickets with some stuff I've been reading about the potential for a crap view.

I think if I'd had more time I'd have stumped up for golden circle but with the Monday rush, and not knowing if this was the only opportunity I'd get for tickets, I just threw the best I could get in my basket and checked out.

On the other hand, the £60 saving per ticket is nice when I've just dropped £200+ on tickets for six dates of The Front Bottoms first UK tour in 5 years.

Honestly I wouldn't think like this ! Next week's sales are likely going to be chaos and you'll know people who would pay £'000s for those tickets. It's going to be amazing no matter where you are in the stadium!

Is Cardiff doing a waiting room? and if so, how does that work, is that on both AXS and Ticketmaster?

Yep, both waiting rooms will open at 2:30pm. Then random assignment of queue position regardless of what time you join the queue. TM will give you a queue #, AXS has a rubbish system with a bar that doesn't make it very clear how far back you are in the queue

    Good luck!

I think part of the "advantage" here is that the pre-sale registration was done so long ago, well before people knew it'd be a greatest hits tour that everyone wanted to go to. Not sure that's easily repeatable.

Would imagine the Verified Fan sale is going to have a lot more unhappy people / be seen as more of a shitshow.

Yeah I have been thinking how lucky we are at having this presale opportunity versus other countries. The queue for European tickets yesterday seemed absolutely savage and likely what the UK verified sale will be like next week...

How many people do we think got the midnight presale access?

I'm going to say around 250,000 codes put I've seen people saying they had multiple codes so maybe 100,000 people. The odds are much better in this pre sale than the general sale.

Feels like us Brits have been super lucky with the presale option versus European cities with queues of 750k+

Are waiting rooms opening 30mins before sale? Thanks

Yes 🙂 they can error out a bit, so I recommend getting in as early as you can

  9. I think if it were me I would not risk using my own code twice. However my friends also have codes, so can try for multiple dates this way - probably the only "safe" way?

Have folks confirmed that it's single use per code? I.e. once you've bought tickets you can't use it again for another date?

Reddit seems to think you can do 2 transactions if you buy 2 tickets each time - the message from AXS says something like "2 ticket limit on this purchase" for the 2nd purchase

Waiting room is up on Ticketmaster but there was a lot of refreshing needed to get accepted with a queue id. Christ knows how many are in this waiting room

Did you just keep refreshing the error 403 page?

Listening to Speak Now TV and fuming all over again at only one of these songs being on the setlist

Potentially a setlist edit to include the Vault song with Hayley if they are touring together?

I think it depends on when it asks you to put in the code.  Someone that got tickets in Singapore presale, said that they had various devices in the 'queue' and then whichever device got through first to input the code, they then used that one and closed out of the others.  But if it makes you input the code at the very beginning (i.e. before you even get into the queue), then I'd just be using the one device so as not to risk being kicked out.

But if you are logged into your TM / AXS account, don't you think it will see you are in 3 separate queues? I did this for Fred Again on AXS and it booted me out of all 3 and I couldn't access the sale at all : (

This is the perfect type of show to see from the stands isn't it? The production will be amazing, and you won't catch all that from the pit.

+1 on this, saw another stadium show recently from front row of the 2nd tier and it was the perfect view imo!

I've signed up. The after hours lineup options were already super-stacked, but every day that passes we get even more. It's a touch overwhelming! I said it months ago, but beyond the main stages, I think we're in for a party for the ages

Could you potentially drop a dm on this? Much appreciated 💙

I've booked tickets for 13:00 train on Wednesday from Paddington - Castle Cary. Has anyone travelled at this time and what are the queues at Paddington / Castle Cary like at this point in the day?

We also have a pal on an earlier train, is there any point getting there a little earlier and joining onto another train? (happy to sit in the corridor of the train, wouldn't want to take someone's seat!)

I can only comment on last year's experience - there were train strikes so less frequent trains, but essentially no one's tickets were being checked either outbound or return from my experience, as the trains were super busy.

I would say, if you want to travel with your friend, arrive for their train and see how busy it is. If it's rammed your ticket likely won't be checked and you should be all good

No, they are outside of the festival, so open to anyone 🙂

But note that if you are getting friends to visit you in your camper, they will need to go through the pass out stuff at the gates, so they need to keep hold of their ticket after they get wristbanded on first entry, as it's needed to get a pass out when they leave, which is then needed to get back in 🙂

Oh amazing, thank you so much!

Get yourself in the craft and crap beer thread, a few recommendations in there! Failing that, any decent local beer shop would be able to suggest a few from their stock - I’m loath to recommend anyone go to Tesco but their craft offerings aren’t at all bad these days as well. They’ll have a couple of things nearing 10%, and dark

Ah brilliant, it was beer I was looking for as well. Ales on site are pretty crap so need to stock up before - cheers 🙂

as much as having a day bag is a bit annoying, it is absolutely amazing in the middle of the crowd pulling out a bag of maoam pinballs and getting right stuck into em. Fizzy snakes and cola lances are also distinctly wonderful to remember/devour.

Plus if im coming from a shift and then heading straight out, i'll need somewhere to put me tabbard/coat/hat/spare socks, as well as my water bottle and fruit/muesli bars. Plus my emergency stash of 10% cans for immediate deployment upon end of shift. In short, i needs me bag dont i

Tell us more about these 10% cans

I honestly think Saturday is by far the worst day, loads of meh in my opinion. Been listening to some bands to try get me excited, nothings grabbing me though

Exactly the same here, happy to have a daytime SE corner mooch that day instead - just a shame as so many clashes on other days. If you find anything decent let us know though!
