  1. Any decent day festivals in London this summer? Trying to plan a stag do (we're all from Liverpool and not your typical stag do people) and a cheeky day festival somewhere in the UK would be perfect.

Thurs night is shaping up VERY nicely.

Glade for Arielle Free>Ewan McVicar>Denis Sulta between 9 until about midnight.

Then head to Truth Stage for Skindred>Ho99o9>Alt Blk Era.

It's gonna be a fantastic start and it's ONLY the Thurs evening.

Hoping Glade isn't a shitshow like last Thursday, the volume was too low and it was absolutely rammed.

And yes, that Bohmer to Avery run is pretty spectacular. So excited finally to feel that there's a whole (half) night for me in Silver Hayes. I genuinely feel that the area is going to look and feel entirely revitalised this year.

    Ben

Who will you be catching in Silver Hayes?

Lots of good techno around, but it's a little all over the place! Paranoid London on The Levels on Thursday should be brilliant. IMOGEN in Wow, also Thursday.

Lovely little double header of Helena Hauff into Daniel Avery on Saturday (Lonely Hearts) with some anjuna style froggy stuff from Ben Bohmer earlier that evening, if you're not at a headliner. Friday is techno on the Genosys Bus (hoping the sound is improved), and the legendary Underground Resistance (albeit with only one member playing live) on IICON is a set I don't think I can miss!

An embarrassment of riches outside all of that too.

    Ben

I'm intending to spend my Saturday night at Lonely Hearts catching Bomber, Cooper, Hauff and Avery, what an unbelievable lineup that is! After that I'm going to try and catch the end of Confidence Mans DJ set in Stonebridge followed by Barry Cant Swim. A lovely run in my opinion.

I am getting tickets for this anyone with any experience of the VIP what you get for it and whether it is worth it?

You get your own bar and toilets, I think that's about it. Don't know the price difference so unsure if it's worth it.

  6. Favorite was Arooj Aftab, thought she was just beautiful to listen to. Had fun at Seun Kuti and Bonobo as well. Once again the sound at West Holts was superb.

thanks - do you mean you can skip the queue if you've already been in once that night?

I think there might be a separate smaller queue for re-entry. Last time I just walked straight in on the Sunday when there was a pretty big queue because I had been in previously that day.

I'm a first timer here guys - what's the story with NYC Downlow? I'm hearing online there may be large queues to get in - forgive the stupid question but is it a big tent with controlled enterance?

I'm trying to decide which Four Tet set to see... i'm assuming they'll be quite similar? I'm leading towards The Park on Friday but the Arcadia lineup on Saturday looks decent.

Yeah with NYC Downlow you're going to have to queue it's basically a club. Best bet is to go when it first opens and then you get back in later with re-entry.

Four Tet on The Park is his live show so he'll just be playing his own tunes whilst his other sets he'll play different tunes and throw a few of his in.
