Yes the chargeable bus that Oxfam offer from Bristol (and only bookable via Oxfam profile) drops pretty much at the campsite.

Anything else - so if you got to Castle Cary or B&W and get the regular festival shuttle from there, it'll be Gate A and a huge trek around the outside of the festival (can't go the direct route as you won't be credentialed yet).

@ilovelanegan - FYI, the Oxfam shuttle bus from Temple Meads is now free (subsidised from the camper van fee they are introducing this year). Just need to book yourself on it. See: https://festivals.oxfam.org.uk/this-years-festivals/glastonbury/

Aloud, yep, for 2003 and 2004 I think? They eventually got bought out by one of the big boys, might have been TM, and disappeared.

IIRC - Aloud.com was run by EMAP - Magazine publishers - (who sold up some magazines/franchises to Bauer Media who are listed on the current Aloud.com site). There were strong links to the festival (Queens Head stage/tent had Q magazine branding).

EMAP's publications all referred to Aloud.com as I would imagine it offered them commission/referal fees but I believe would have simply acted as a front end for "Way Ahead" ticket agency in Nottingham which became See/G&T? in 2004? Happy to stand corrected if wrong?

So so happy, only missed '16 since '98 & more than happy to pay back into the festival and share some of my knowledge/experience with others.

Is that the Co-op membership rewards app?

I took a look but it seems to require a £1 membership fee which is enough to put me off (given I have tickets and it was just curiosity).

    Yes, that's the one.

  5. First time member of the resale club after being lucky every year since my first in '98. This year was brutal, a non-starter for me on thurs and today.

Will be hanging on this thread and the volunteering route for the next 7 months... keep the faith people x

Is it one of the gantry that the BBC presenters use? They have their main spot up at the park (for the performances/interviews) and this is the other one they usep01ccpsn.jpg

  7. right, just after a bit of help/advice.

we're setting off around 7am friday morning, shall be there for campsite opening etc (with any luck)

anyway, one of our mates is getting a coach from birmingham, as that was the only way he could get a gaurenteed ticket at face value when they went on sale. anyway, his coach leaves birmingham at 2pm. so he will not be there until 5pm maybe, and by then i would imagine that the campsite we are on (getting there for 12) will be full, but we are putting his tent up for him, thus saving him a space. SO. the question is, will he be allowed onto our campsite ? and will he be given a wristband just for one campsite meaning he may not be able to camp with us ?

    thanks in advance.

  8. Due to, ahem, 'difficult' circumstances with my ex-wife, we sadly won't be able to use these tickets.

Please drop me a PM on this forum if my unfortunate situation can make a better one for you :)

I'll split the tickets if needed.

These are **free** to a good home - as per original ticket cost.
