  1. FYI I just randomly went onto ticketmaster for Wembley 23rd June which I had a code for and managed to get 2 side view seated tickets. Was only looking to see how many vip tickets were left out of interest. Worth having a look if you’ve got a code for the other dates 👍

If one completely forgot to register and get a code before the deadline, is there anything at all that be done to try and get tickets? (Not tout websites)

Saw this earlier depending on how desperate you are!

Primal Scream and Bicep would be playing to one man and a dog up against those other three.

Bicep will draw a huge crowd no matter when they play. There's a fair chunk of people that go to Glasto just for the DJ's, of which Bicep would be a headline act

Outside of sub headlining the Other I can't see where else he would go, I very much doubt they'd put him against Macca.

Unless the info was that he is definitely playing Other, I would say he is a potential Pyramid sub. Arguably as big as Wolf Alice/ Lorde who are being touted as the current options.

I hope you're right as they're a great live band. Seems a weird fit before Billie or Kendrick though (assuming Noel is subbing Macca).

A lot of people say this, but there is no reason to have any correlation between the sub & headliner

I am still dreaming that what we will get this get will be the poster rather than an individual announcement. I know Emily mentioned March but...

Agree with this. Seems kind of pointless to announce a headliner this week if the poster is next week. Only way I see a headliner getting announced is if the poster doesn't drop till late March

Not fancying Macca because you’d prefer The 1975 is like turning down a free meal in a Michelin started restaurant because you fancy a Greggs.

Are the 1975 actually being rumoured for a secret set or is that just wishful thinking from their fanbase

It is probably just wishful thinking tbh. However I feel if they are offered the chance of a secret set they would take it, on the hope that it may help them with a headline slot in the future

At the risk of restarting any tired old arguments on here, have you got anyone in mind you'd like to see instead?

I'm like you in that the three currently listed won't do a huge amount for me, but equally there's no one pyramid-sized that I'd want them replaced with so I'm quite happy focusing on other stages and writing off pointy headliners for this year.

That's a fair point. I cant think of many realistic names for this year that I would want instead (maybe The 1975 but they are now being rumoured for a secret set anyway).

Hopefully some of the names being floated about for next year like Swift, Arctics or Elton come true and I can make up for lack of pyramid time this year (if I get a ticket!)

  10. Think I am one of the few on here who is hoping the Macca tour announcement has US dates all over Glasto weekend. Zero interest in Billie Kendrick or Macca so would like one Pyramid headliner to entice me

You understand there are 5 artists billed for the Halftime show? Thats not counting any surprises they might have. He will get 2 minutes to himself at most out of the 13-15 mins that its supposed to be in total length. He is also billed last out of everyone on top of that. Dre and Snoop are def getting the most air time overall. Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed for 6 mins each and then did 2 mins together with the 14  mins given to them when they were there 2 years ago.  So do some math and consider that a performer getting 2 mins of airtime isnt the end all be all to holding a festival hostage when it comes to announcing them. Coachella offered Kendrick the headline spot that Rage left open and he turned it down. Doubt the NFL said he wasnt allowed to do such a thing. Its not as if it was going to decrease the value or ratings  somehow.

    - S. MATH-S. WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

    You would be very surprised.

It's arguably the biggest sporting attraction in the world, the publicity it gets is second to none. Yes, Glastonbury don't exactly need exposure but using the Superbowl as an additional springboard to hype an act/get more eyes on it - I'd still be utilising it if I was in their shoes.

Just had a quick Google and apparently 6mil watched the Superbowl in the UK last year which is a lot higher than I was expecting. I try to watch it most years but am asleep before half time!

It won't be Glasto's decision to delay until then, would be Kendrick's team. He is famously elusive around album releases and this one's particularly highly anticipated after 5 years of waiting. If his album rollout is planned to begin following the Super Bowl performance - which seems to be the case for the other artists performing - then he'll likely be saving any show announcements until after it to keep the suspense. Which adds up with Emily saying we'll have news by the end of the month.

    (anyone got any more straws?)

Does a summer world tour not seem quite short notice to announce in mid/ late Feb? Or is the thinking that he may do Glasto and then a tour at the end of the year?
