How many Wiley diss tracks is Stormzy gonna bang out then

    On topic: a few

off topic: MCR haven’t been mentioned in this thread for a while, but I’ve just bought tickets for the Eden Project gig (close to my house) and put my MK tickets on sale on twickets, so I’m a very happy fan :)

Back on topic for this thread with a compare and contrast:

Weekend (5-day) Ticket at Boardmasters: £189.  Skepta, KoL, 1975

Weekend Ticket at Reading: £232. Stormzy, LG, RATM.

    So far, fair enough.

Weekend VIP upgrade at Boardmasters: £86.  (Gets you VIP area and bar; fast track entry; VIP camping; car parking; admission to surfing comps, etc).  Total for a “VIP weekend” is £275 per person.

Weekend VIP Upgrade at Reading: £185 x 3 = £555 for the VIP bar bit for 3 days; £120 each for VIP camping (camping plus with bring your own tent); £21 for a weekend car park pass; £25 for an early entry pass to bring it up to 5 days.  Total for a comparable “VIP weekend” is £953 person.

Now I know Reading is a much bigger festival than BM (I’ve been going to Reading since 1989, lol) but this VIP pricing (which I hate in general) is crazy.

I put mine on twickets and they sold and I had the money in my PayPal account within a couple of minutes,  they were just GA though and not VIP.  The demand is still there for them.  Good luck ☘️

    thanks for the info, mate.

...and I only got VIP because it looked like I might also miss out on Sunday tickets, had 4 screens open and the website was showing me no standard available...so spent more than I normally would...then they announced Thursday :)

Omg all those fans who brought tickets for the 1st show on sat 20th thinking it would be THE 1st show in the UK.... until they announced Thurs 18th.  And now Tues 16th.  Wtf !  Twickets will be bouncing again.  More planning needed guys please.  All of us here in Ireland brought MK tickets and some even booked flights/ ferries. And then they announced Dublin

Yep - I bought 3 VIP tickets for the Sunday having failed to get anything for the Saturday; now I discover they will be playing in Cornwall (and I live in Plymouth, so a short drive for me)

I might have 3 MK VIP tickets for sale if I get lucky and get Eden tickets :)

  4. Hi - I've been following the forum since December, but finally decided to comment after today's excitement.

I'm lucky enough to be old enough to have seen RATM play Reading in 1993 - 27 years ago and it was my 5th Reading :)  RATM subbed for Perry Farrell's Porno For Pyros on the Friday night - but it was Rage who stole the show, with the NME describing it the following week as "The First Mosh Pit Visible From Space".

That performance is still a gig which I would put inside my Top 20 of all time and I've seen more than 2,000 live bands - so bring it on!

BTW - the same weekend had Radiohead supporting Blur on the Melody Maker Stage, which meant I missed Siouxsie and the Banshees on the main stage to watch Radiohead instead.

Also saw Rage at Reading in 1996 and 2000, but missed out on 2008 because my kids were young - this year I've got them tickets :)

Excited for Run the Jewels and can't wait for 9AM tomorrow.
