Saw a Quietus article from 3 days ago, about Bright Eyes.
"The band recently pulled a series of planned tour dates for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but have been confirmed to play next year's Green Man, which will take place from August 19 to 22, 2021."
Must be a mistake, right?
Don't get my hopes up like this!

Bit the bullet and got my tickets. Largely swayed by the discovery of Fenne Lily - what a find

Fantastic. Hopefully it'll be Blue Dot & Green Man for us this year then!

This has never really been on my radar but my 7yo is a big NASA/Space fan and this looks like it ticks both boxes of a good lineup and also enough to keep her entertained aside from the music.
Anyone have experience with taking kids to this? My friend is also considering it with his 3 year old - is there much for little 'uns/family camping etc?
-
Second wave announcement last year was March 1st, think I'll hang fire until then to make my decision. Keep needing to remind myself it's not all about the lineup (and I'm sure I'll be won over by some I've not yet heard) but it'd be nice to have a few favourites in there

😒 not really to my taste.. will dig through the undercard but might be EOTR for me if I can get those dates off work

To add to my thoughts re: Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Yeah Yeah Yeahs are playing Shaky Knees Festival in the US in May. The interesting point being that in 2019 and 2018 GM shared acts with Shaky Knees high up the bill (Father John Misty in 2019, and Fleet Foxes and War on Drugs in 2018).
Perhaps there is some relationship there between the festivals? I’ve seen GM tweet about how much they like Shaky Knees before. I don’t see any of the other highly billed acts at Shaky Knees being at GM (i.e. headliners and acts on the first two lines of the poster).
Still pretty unlikely I guess but could see it happening.I'm going to run with that and say The Strokes - nailed on 🤣

Kiwanuka doing 6music, could be an indicator for who is playing festivals this summer:
-
Surely there'll be some crossover?

I'd much rather Bright Eyes for GM as got Angel Olsen tickets for Manchester. But since they're confirmed (!) For EOTR looks like I'll have to go to the rumoured Palladium show

That could be a Bright Eyes clue..

It's on their Instagram, a poster with a not so cryptic message

I think The Big Moon are likely to return, big year for them and with Juliette's onstage proposal last year I'm sure it will be high up their priority list for favourite festivals! Thinking about albums due for release this year, Laura Marling? Mystery Jets is a good shout.
-
I might be biased as I love Conor Oberst, but in my mind they're a bigger draw than Sharon Van Etten or Father John Misty.
Maybe a Thursday headliner if not?

Anyone mentioned Supergrass yet?

Bright Eyes.... 👀

Just been looking through my photos from last year and found this. Long shot, but anybody know the couple? Thought it's a nice shot they might like to see! From the Sunday night outside Far Out, bar side
