  1. Obvious choice for Scorpions... The bill is almost complete, but I keep my fingers crossed for Gojira and Soen.

They will still need more bands in reserve for the next cancelations since also the high gasoline prices in Europe are reasons for American bands to reconsider their tour. Luckily the Belgian gouvernment has given a 17 cent discount per liter now, hope that helps...

There is also a problem with the rent of gear…

And surprisingly, the fear of the war going on in Europe.

They look at Europe as one country, like the states and the hostilities are less than 2.000 km from Belgium. That's less than the distance from New York to the border from Mexico...

  3. Soen has Graspop in their events on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SoenMusic/events

I wonder why GMM has not given an update on the new headliner. The problem is, there is no hurry, the festival is sold out and they can go for a cheap replacement...

Is it not an option for GMM and Gojira to cancel their gig at Vorst Nationaal on july 5th and replace A7X?

This gig has been replaced from february and a lot of ticketholders are on holiday that day. Also, this show doesn't sell out, in contrast to the two Tilburg shows one week later... Maybe they remain silent, so that both gigs in Graspop and Vorst can find place?

Alcatraz Festival did something similar with the gig of Arch Enemy / Behemoth next fall: cancel it and give both bands a headlinerspot...

  4. I think there is indeed a good chance that SOAD will be the missing headliner and that this was already arranged by Live Nation months ago, with the consequence that Iron Maiden moved to the Sportpaleis. That would be a very sensible move for Graspop's 25th anniversary, after all the nagging last year ...

Red Hot Chili Peppers closes Werchter's Sunday. As a result, SOAD moves to another day or to GMM. Volbeat was scheduled for this metal Sunday with SOAD and is now playing on GMM.

Why would they keep the Friday headliner a secret? Probably because they know this will hit like a bomb. SOAD plays in Lisbon on Wednesdays and at Hellfest on Sundays. All stars are favorable...

Does that mean Volbeat for Rock Werchter then? Playing same day as SOAD I'd assume, what sorta slot would that be?

I hope they place Gojira on the same day as SOAD, that could convince me to go.

Volbeat can be a bonus, but nothing more...

  6. According to the Facebook of dutch metalmagazine Aardschok, Gojira is also on Werchter!
However, this has not yet been announced. Day is unknown:
    ROCK WERCHTER
    2 - 5 July, Festival Park - Werchter (B)

GOJIRA, PEARL JAM and SYSTEM OF A DOWN.

  7. Facebook message from Metalfan.nl:

"Who will be the missing main act for Pinkpop 2020?

The Pinkpop Festival has already announced that Red Hot Chili Peppers and Post Malone will headline the first two days of the Limburg event next year, but who will be the closing of the festival on Sunday 21 June?

The accompanying poster, which is currently circulating on the internet, is probably fake (FAKE!), But we don't think it is such a bad idea. A hard rock day with both Guns N ’Roses and the acts Volbeat and Disturbed, which had already been confirmed before that date, would certainly make us hesitate to come to Landgraaf next year."

I think that if Guns ‘N Roses play at Pinkpop on Sunday, there is a good chance that they will headline in Dessel on Friday…

Have you followed this thread the last couple of months?? He has been clear enough.

I expect that AC/DC does a tour announcement this month, like they did in december before last tour.

Since the band has a poor communication towards the fans, I hope that an insider hears it sooner than the rest of the world...

Judas Priest are headliner of the Saturday 20th.

Big bands like this have their festival schedules booked since a while now. They play Copenhell on 18th, Graspop on 20th and they'll play Hellfest on 19th or 21th. Then go to Germany.

I think that both bands are open for reason. If you make a statement that SOAD and Judas Priest are co-headlining saturday, why would they block? Who cares who plays last?

Graspop announced Judas Priest is the headliner. If SOAD come, they'd be the headliner and not co-headliner with Judas or something. So not possible for 20th.

You can still move Judas Priest to friday or sunday, not?

  11. Why not Rammstein as a headliner? When you view the tour dates, you see that all performances up to and including the performance in Ostend are sold out on 10 June. Afterwards they have 3 performances in UK (14, 17 and 20/6) and on June 24 they play in Nijmegen. So it is possible on Friday 19/6 or Sunday 21/6, on condition that they leave their tower and the main part of their equipement ... The performance in Ostend is not organized by Live Nation, but by Greenhouse Talent.
