  1. I got a tipi in the sale last week but just wanted to confirm something:

I am not required to stay with the people in my group booking right? If the tipi is under my registration, I can stay with any 5 other people I like, I just have to turn up with them to the reception?

  2. Sorry I’m sure it’s been said before - but if I am trying to book a tipi, what information will I need?

is it just my own registration number and details? (I.e not any details from anyone else in the group?)

or do I need the booking reference number too?

Do we think there a good chance he’s there on the Friday or Saturday instead though? I’d love to see Sting!

  4. I’m sure it’s been discussed, but I’ve only just seen that Celine Dion is touring Europe this summer with no gigs around Glastonbury yet. If she’s at Glasto I think the legend slot would be most appropriate?

  5. Can anyone clarify - on the map I can see Tipi Village and Tipi Field (next to each other).
What’s the difference between the two? The Tipi Village is the one you book through official Glastonbury right?

edit: no worries, just seen Caledonian clarified above! Thank you!

  6. Mighty Hoopla festival line up was announced today, for early June in London. It’s a pop festival, but two or three of the names I’d think could be at Glasto.

Kelis, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Years & Years have done it before. Any others you think might appear?

With the first announced names usually. Sometime this month, maybe even this week. It doesn't sell out in months, not sure about The Hive packages tho

    Thank you

Sounds good, certainly lots of good names being mentioned on this thread. I’ll keep my eye out for the line up.

  8. Can anyone recommend me a Eurofest (or in the UK) - I’ve never been to any!

I mostly enjoy pop and commercial music. I would prefer a camping festival which has lots of late night activities like Glasto too, but perhaps that’s too ambitious.

Gutted to be missing Glasto, but maybe it will be a nice opportunity to try another festival

  9. Anyone know roughly how many tickets are usually available in the resale? Bet it’s going to be tough this year.

Does anybody know how quickly the resale tickets sold out last year?

  10. I’m looking to buy a bag to take all my stuff in. Anyone have advice on how many litres in size I should get?

I wont be taking a tent as we are staying in a tipi. So it will be clothes, wellies, sleeping bag, pillow, sleeping mat, chair, alcohol, some food etc (won’t be taking a stove or anything).

Dont plan on taking a trolly or anything like that as will be arriving by train.

So how big do we think I’ll need? Will 80L be big enough? If anyone has any recommendations then that would be good too! (On the cheaper side!)

    thank you

  11. Hi all. After seeing the queue madness in the news for a festival in Essex this week, it got me thinking about queues at Glastonbury.

This is my first time, I am arriving by train on the Wednesday around midday. Not sure how it works when we get off, will there be a gate that all train arrivals go to? Anyone have an estimation of how bad queues will be at that time?

    Thank you!

  12. Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I’ll go with a small backpack, and look for one that won’t get me too hot. I will probably end up buying mixers on site rather than carry them round  (although I guess it can be a pain if you’re in a big crowd?)

Im staying in a Tipi, so not sure how practical it will be for me to pop back to the tipi to get anything. How far are the tipis from some of the main stage? (Pyramid, West holts?)

  13. Can anyone give me some advice (my first Glastonbury!)

i cant really figure out what kind of ‘day bag’ is appropriate? Initially I was thinking I only wanted to take a bum bag, to save lugging anything bigger round. But if I’m drinking spirits, this won’t be anywhere near big enough to carry a days worth of drink, amongst everything else?  (Unless it’s common to just buy the mixer on site?)

If I bring a larger bag, what style? I worry a backpack will make my back sweat if it’s hot, and just not very comfortable to be wearing all day.

What do most people tend to use?
