Those charities won’t only work at Glastonbury. And there is a high chance that their part time workers will have been cancelled from tomorrow however it does not mean that Glastonbury itself is cancelled just because a company that does work there has halted operations a couple of months before the festival.

The instruction has come directly from Glastonbury, to cancel the part time workers for the festival. Do you need me to be anymore specific?

I’ll only tell you who Neil is if you tell me who your source is x

I'm not saying the name but I'm close friends with a lady who organises workers for one of the charities. She has been instructed to put in the motion of cancelling all part time workers from tomorrow.

If you don’t need to “reveal your source” why bother posting in the first place? Honestly just pathetic trolling/attention seeking.

When I turn out to be correct later on will you come and say sorry? This isn't a troll I just wanted to share the news.

  4. The thing I love about Glastonbury is their variety, it’s huge. I’m so surprised that for the dance fans around there isn’t a chain smokers, marshmallow, Calvin Harris and Eric prydz etc set. Would be a must see for a lot of Dance fans and just keeps the variety strong across all genres.  I’m concerned that the current Glastonbury producer team don’t have the ability to source these big acts.

    Was fine.

A lot of emphasis on not serving people underage and rules and regulations and implications if you do and also checking ID etc.

then some stuff about how shifts work, how the bars operate and dos and don’ts when on shift. A lot of it is common sense but good to have it drilled in.

Was ran by a lady called Jean who I think glasto_worker knows.

one girl asked if there would be any facilities for her hair dryer and Jean said ‘you must usually do glamping’ ?

    was 90 mins long.

What was the general information on shift times and patterns?

Address given is: 75  Millennium Square, Canons Way, BS1 5DB.

In 2016 I got the below email on 9th May from Avalon Events (along with a Glastonbury Survival Guide). This may answer a lot of questions but does not imply a timescale for this year. Everything usually runs on Glastonbury time for this one.

Does anyone have a copy of the Glastonbury survival guide for abit of light reading?

  7. Thanks so much for all this information it is getting me really excited already. My partner has a ticket for the festival so with regards to camping is there ever an exception where she would be able to stay on camp in my tent? Or if I would be allowed to stay with her on site?

there is no point because ' you wont get the choice ' - you would have to be in it for many years before they give you the choice.

I have worked in 70% of them { when they were ran by the WBC } I would pick The Cockmill due to its location in the Acoustic area or The Park bar as it may be close to that new Pier - the one I would avoid ' if they still have it ' is the Pimms Bus as its very cramped inside.

But if you are new its all down to luck.

Thanks. I had a brief look but couldn’t seem to find a definitive list for all the bars that Avalon run? Any ideas.
