I have a ticket for the auditorium today but can't go to Julia Holter, can I still go for Swans? Are there enough seats for everyone with a ticket or is it like the first ones that arrive get the seats?

Last year I got a bed in a decent hostel for 30€/night, close to one of the tram stations that get you to the festival. I get that hostels aren't for everyone, but it's certainly much cheaper than 1400€!

Considering tomorrow's festival goes ahead as planned... Should I buy some rain boots and raincoat poncho? Serious question lol, I have no idea whether I should expect a mudfest in there and don't want to destroy my shoes hahaha

I think we've passed that point
Yesterday they cancelled at 8pm, so sadly there's still time

Just thinking, why not put some bands on at the metropolitano, it's all concrete and the stage is still up is it not
Tomorrow there's a Guns N' Roses concert at the stadium, so maybe they needed today to dismantle the Primavera stage and build the GNR stage and prepare for the concert

If you can't get tickets for Blur today, I suggest you try the Boiler Room. The Bassment is one of the best techno nightclubs in Madrid, and while I don't know the artists that are going to play, a Boiler Room is a unique experience and rarely disappoints

So it’s Blur, and who else at Boiler Room? Some random DJs? And I guess all the other concerts like Halsey, Drain Gang and so on are canceled?
On Twitter they said:
"The availability of the bands and the venues is very limited with so little time considering the circumstances. Our team has worked all night without rest to be able to offer alternatives. We're sorry to not be able to reschedule Halsey."

I’m sure they were open to the possibility of rain, rather the failure was not realising how seriously this would affect the usability of the site.
Unless it was usable yesterday and they cancelled for financial reasons and used the rain as an excuse…
It wasn't usable yesterday, some parts of the venue were flooded, including the main stages, the entrance, storage area and artist zones, and they spent the evening trying to remove the water with pumps and excavators (without much luck I assume). The venue is poorly designed for drainage I guess. Let's hope they can fix for tomorrow and that it doesn't rain much more...

Seeing the pics of how the festival grounds are doing after just one evening of rain, and that the forecast predicts more rain for tonight, all of tomorrow and for friday morning... I don't think Primavera Madrid is going to happen, sadly. I know people close to the security heads at Primavera, and apparently the general sentiment is that too. But of course, they'll do all they can to fix/prevent more damage and wait until tomorrow to take any decision.
Last summer, a storm hit Medusa Festival at Valencia which destroyed a couple of stages, killing one person and hurting 40. They almost cancelled the festival because of the weather, but decided to continue regardless and a tragedy happened... It's still very recent in everyone's minds here, so I guess that it's a big reminder for the organizers that safety always has to be number one priority in these events.
I have tickets for friday, and I'm super excited to see Kendrick... and I live in Madrid, I can't imagine how all this must feel for everyone who traveled for this festival. Let's hope that the weather gives us a break and lets the festival happen!

I have a day ticket for the Madrid festival. Is there any way I can go to a Primavera en la Ciutat concert without a full weekend ticket? I would love to go to the Black Country New Road show in Madrid, but could only afford a day ticket

Do you think the day tickets will sell out soon?
-
Do they make it difficult to sell your tickets? I really want to go but there's a chance I won't be able to make it to the festival, would it be easy to sell my ticket to someone else if that happened? Is there any name change required?

What are the chances of finding a decent camping spot (within the free camping area) if I arrive tomorrow afternoon? I suppose that most people will arrive earlier in the morning

They can't just change the destination, wtf.
Giant rooks cancelled 😕 Ho replacement announced
They just sent another email apologizing, it was a glitch... They scared the shit out of me hahaha, Bulgaria is cool but there's no Sziget there 😂

I just got an email from WizzAir saying that my flight tomorrow from Castellón to Budapest changed its destination to Sofia in Bulgaria, and my friend leaving from Bari got the same email. Did anyone get this as well? I really hope it's a glitch

Maybe it's just bad planning but... We're arriving to Budapest on wednesday, and since we can't bring our own tents on the plane with us we were hoping to buy one once we arrive there, at Decathlon. But it appears that all the tents at Decathlon are sold out, does anyone know any other place where we can buy cheap tents in Budapest? Or if it's true that they're out of stock at Decathlon?

Yeah even on the smaller acts it was very busy, I was impressed as I didn't have many expectations after knowing the line-up. The festival tickets were cheap, but everything else is quite the opposite, they make you pay for absolutely everything, and not a small amount. It's like the Ryanair of festivals, in the end you end up spending more than in a normal-priced festival... I don't like this new "low-cost" approach they're taking. The organization has been really good overall, with no excessive queues to enter the festival or at the bars/food trucks, and security was good. Outside the festival though, for those of us going by car there are long queues. Yesterday we spent more than an hour stuck in traffic trying to get to the parking, it's faster to just park in the town and go walking from there. Also the first day we got given wrong indications by police officers about how to find the parking, and both me and about 20 other cars got stuck in a dirt road in the middle of nowhere with no idea of where to go lol. But in the end we made it, late to the first concert though.

How much of a bad idea is it to go to the sziget boat party as someone who gets really seasick every time I step into a boat? I need rational voices to convince me to not do it lol
-
Hey, does anyone know when camping will open? Can we stay the night of the 9th as well, or does it open the 10th in the morning?

Will Justice play a proper live show or will it be a DJ set?

Does Sziget require a covid vaccination certificate of any sort?
Primavera Sound Barcelona 2023 + Primavera Sound Madrid 2023

My impressions from friday:
Overall, the artists were great, the venue and the organization were not. Barcelona is indeed a much better festival, and I don't think they will repeat a Madrid edition unless they change the venue.
PS: To those complaining that there's no metro after 2am: that's just the general experience of a night out in Madrid, you either suffer through the night buses combinations, you party/wait until 6am, or you get a taxi, nothing the festival can do there!
