  1. I stopped going 3 years ago for all the reasons you have stated, and it hasnt improved at all since then. I even live in Telford so can avoid the motorway queues getting in by driving directly along the A5.

The West car park is just too far from the site, if you are camped in Green or Grey it is a crazy walk through the mud.

The organizers dont give a shit about the punters because they sell out (literally) every year. Nothing will ever change until it stops selling out.

  2. I know this forum has been inundated with requests like these, but I feel really bad, as I just asked if my friend wanted to come with us, as See tickets says there are some available, he said yes and so i put all my details and card number in to get him one, and it wouldnt let me! Had to let him down! :( Anyone???

  3. I have been going to wakestock for about 6 years now. For those of you who want a bit of info, here it is, the festival is held in a place called penhros, about 5 minutes drive from Abersoch which is a small, but packed tourist area in north wales. Beaches in the area are great, think of it as the UK version of Benicassim and you're pretty much there.

The First night is always the dance night with DJ's such as The Cuban Brothers, and Carl cox regularly in attendance. The first day doesn't really kick off till about 8pm and is mostly for those who love the odd disco biscuit. Not really my scene, but still really good none the less.

The second day is where it all really kicks off with most popular acts performing on this day. The festival is rather small in comparison to ones such as Leeds and Reading, which make the festival a little more intimate.

There is also a Wakeboarding Competition which takes place in Pwllheli which is a coastal town only 10 mintues away from the car which you can see in the day, the organisers provide buses so you can get there and is a good laugh to go down. The festival used to be more focused on the wakeboarding, but now its all about the music.

Facilities are probably the best I've seen in the UK for a festie, but not as good as Beni before meanfiddler got their little paws on it.

Beers are reasonably prices as well for a UK Festie, I think last year it was 3 quid for a beer which is OK, the only problem with this festival is that there are no shops around so you'll need to bring al your campsite ale with you. Getting to the festival site via public transport is a nightmare so definitely come in a car.

In all the Festival is 25-30 thousand festie with decent artists and really nice surroundings. If you want a chill out summer festival with your mates and a bit of beach action, then this is the one to go to.

All you young folk take note, they don't let young ones in (16 and over) and they are going to be really strict on it this year as this is the only way they could get the council permission for the festival to be held here. When you get there you'll understand why, Its a brilliant location. about 10 minutes walk from a beach.

Here is a link to where it is held:

    Hope this helps.

  4. To be honest.

I would rather lick my own Gooch than go to Beni nowadays. Meanfiddler have ripped the soul out of this festival and just marketed it to the 18 to 21 year old f**kwits in England that go to Leeds and Reading. Beni used to be a great festival where people from countries from all over Europe would unite. Now it just houses English c**ts who want to just sunbathe, get pissed and have a scrap. Obviously this does not apply to all people from England, but from all accounts it is now becoming a vast majority.

For those of you that do go to a European festival which is under the radar of the NME and those reading this who know of these festivals, keep it to yourself and don't tell anyone!

    Thanks

  5. To be honest, I went to beni for 2 years before meanfiddler got their dirty little paws on it. Now from reports i've had from others, it seems to be very similar to the other Beni (Benidorm). Full of pissed up brits kicking off with locals and each other. I know that this is a small minority, but beni never had this minority until 2 years ago. When I went it was clean, no litter, toilets were cleanest i've ever seen at a festival and the drinks were cheap as well.

If I were you i'd go to some other festivals like opener, or any other that hasn't been f**ked over by the booze crazed, disrespecting brits yet.

If you really do insist on going, go to campfib as it ususally has the least brits and the FIB attendants try to put brits in the Bonet site, Just don't go and just sleep on the beach until campfib is opened which is usually a day after bonet.

To avoid the crap of getting to valencia, just don't fly there. Go to Barcelona insted and get the train, its about £40 return first class and it has a bar carriage which is brilliant for meeting up with people from other groups from different countries. Also its usually the same price as valencia as prices go up due to all the flights booked by others going to the festival.
