Yeah defo.
They have confirmed that a number of times on twitter
Oh sorry I typed it on my phone, I meant to say are on Woov, bit of a typo.
-
FYI, set times aren’t going up on the ‘Woov’ app.
the bestival app has been ditched this year.

This may be so but a few of us have done Glasto, Boomtown, Bestival for the last 3 years and some others I knows that have done Glasto + Boomtown would probably have done Boomtown + Bestival next year.
It's doable when there's a month gap but not when they finish and start in the same week.
The Bestival website gives 1st August as app update day.

So excited! I can't wait now!!!!

If anyone wants a free pair of tickets they are seemingly giving a million pairs of tickets away on the ‘I’m in’ app

Just had an email from Shinding festival offering a 20% discount code, so looks like Bestival are presumably offering discounted tickets to get the last little bump of sales in before it starts.
That little discount code should help shift a few tickets for those who were umming and arrring

Full disclosure that was me! I thought best go straight to him, apologies if it reads nobby, I wanted to provoke a response

I hope so too, I'd hate to see the end of Bestival.
That said, they've made it impossible for me (and probably lots of others) to attend this year by moving it to the weekend before Boomtown so that they can share infrastructure costs with Camp Bestival.
Moving from IoW and moving the date have made it much less attractive for me unfortunately. I appreciate they've probably made both of those changes to try and save it.
I imagine it’s not a case of ‘saving it’ but more just being cost efficient in a challenging festival market. Not ideal against Boomtown though!

At the end of the day, i'm not too bothered, as long as they deliver what I've paid for, and I can have fun, I'm happy In regards to the logic behind day tickets, it could have been planned from day dot etc, we will never know
Fingers crossed it draws the numbers, I'd hate to see it go (especially since its on my doorstep now)

I'd rather personally rather have fewer stages but a better overall festival than lots of stages and a lesser festival experience. I'm sure I read a tweet from Rob Da Bank saying sales are massively up on last year! I'm sure this run of good weather will help shift a few more tickets.
Day tickets may perfect sense considering the location, all the big players do those don't they (not sure I'd ever get one myself, but people must like them :/ )

Diplo has now released two (pretty damn good) singles with new supergroup LSD whereas he still has nothing to show for Silk City. RdB must be getting a bit miffed at that.
I believe I read that they are performing live first prior for the first time at The Governors Ball at the start of next month before releasing any material, pretty sure I read that somewhere.

I will hold back until we know more
thanks for your thoughts

Oh everyone I want to see clashes! Maybe this one isn’t for me.
-
Folks, sorry if this has been mentioned, looking at tickets for Saturday.
are we expecting The XX, Lorde, Sampha and Justice to be on one stage, or are justice likely to clash with stuff on another??

Fair play to RDB, he clearly cares deeply about what people think about the lineup he curates. It shows what thick skin people like him (and even more-so the Eavii) must have. He's spent a lot of time on twitter today replying to punters, can't think of many organisers that would do that.
I like his conviction, shows he’s truly spent time working on this line up and delivering something he’s proud of! Much nicer than the spineless corporates.

Also love the positivity and have to say I agree!

Victorious is cheaper and offers more, feel it's been heading in this direction for a few years too.
I think comparing Bestival to Victorious is like chalk and cheese.

Ronson has written and produced some huugeeeeee huge songs, Uptown funk is the 5th biggest selling song in the UK ever.
So, love him or hate him, for a mid-size festival he’s 100% a headline act I would say.
-
I like Diplo, never would have guessed that though!
Im not bothered either way

It is possible and would explain why Bestival postponed the announcement but the O2 gig is being billed as a "one night, one final time" gig - as in only reuniting for one gig.
It would be one final time in theory....that gig isn’t until the end of September.
-
If it’s not Run DMC I’m absoulutely clueless!

All depends what you are expecting I guess. We all know it’s not the scale of Stevie Wonder now so
