I don’t know why some people seem hellbent on wanting 3 ‘heavy’ headliners. It’s not just a metal festival.

My first festival and I was blown away. I was a bit wary about how some bands might sound, but almost everyone was great.

 

Volbeat and Shinedown sounded incredible, all 3 headliners too. Only band that I thought sounded pretty poor were Black Veil Brides. Shame In This Moment had to shorten their set because of technical difficulties at the start.

 

 

Absolutely disgusted with the mess left behind though, wasn’t prepared for that at all. Why would you leave behind a perfectly good £60 tent?

It’s my first festival, looking forward to it! One question- when do you guys find time to sit around the camping having some beers? If I’m drinking the night before I won’t be alive in the morning until 10/11 earliest, and bands start playing at 12...

 

Also, do you keep making trips back to the campsite to drink, or just buy stuff in the arena? I’ve heard it a decently long walk back
