Newbie here (to the forum, EotR veteran). I usually try and catch as many late-night Tipi sets as possible, but I've not been well recently and couldn't face the late nights. So who did I miss? I saw a bit of Beak, and I know about Ural Thomas, but who else was on? Thanks.
The first night was Mandy, Indiana after Beak. Second night, I think the first was Grove but no idea about the second - also had an early night for this one! And Sunday was Bug Club and Alabaster Deplume after Ural Thomas!

Last year was pretty much perfect was start to finish, but highlight was possibly sitting in the garden Sunday morning hearing Karen Dalton sing "Something On Your Mind" for the very first time.
This was perfect - thanks so much for reminding me. Just got a little bit emotional relistening now and remembering that!

Just done a LFT as a condition to get into the LUMP gig tonight. Fortunately negative, and I realise I didn't really think about it all weekend.
How did you go to a gig on the Monday?! I couldn't wait to be in bed and was asleep by 8:30 🤦♂️

I had a great time! As many have said, Little Simz was incredible and probably my highlight but so many to choose from. Already dreaming of my return next year to watch Rob Auton do basically the same routine for the 4th EOTR in a row and to still come away beaming.
The only question I have left is, what happened to the missing eggs??! -
3rd year at EOTR and that one was so, so good!
Friday was mostly a big old day at the Garden Stage for us, but it was great to see Stella bring the band after seeing her perform last year solo and Mitski was, to answer her question, not what I expected but definitely a visual spectacle. Michael Kiwanuka was the highlight of the weekend for me - captivated the entire audience and his backing singer brought me to tears when she had a moment to shine midway through the set.
Saturday and Sunday were both more relaxing days for us in terms of certain must sees but I had a very jazzy day on the Saturday - by that, I mean both great and full of trumpets and saxophones. Nerija, Nubya and Moses Boyd were all excellent but Kate Tempest absolutely stole that day. Had to move slightly closer to the front as the Royal Mail gang decided a spoken word show was the perfect time to catch up and engage in massively loud conversation, but her ending song in particular was hard hitting in the best way. Split our time between Courtney and Low, so missed the first 15 minutes of Low but they were also on very, very fine form.
Used Sunday to see some comedy and Robin Ince's discussion in the literature tent. We discovered Anna Mann and wow, what a hilarious character. Then the absolute discovery of the festival was BCUC - what a way to spend a Sunday afternoon, dancing around in the sun. We loved them so much we stayed up for their festival closing secret set in the Tipi. I saw the singer buying the sunglasses he wore for the Tipi set and asked him what time he was on later as he'd revealed they had 2 sets that day, and he just showed me his WhatsApp tour group and made me remember that it was never him who revealed it. Serpentwithfeet was also enchanting that day, but there was hardly anybody there! Guessing Cate Le Bon was pretty busy? He also finished way early so anyone hoping to catch the end would have been disappointed.
One thing I echo is where was Goan Fish Curry?? I was finally planning to try it for the first time this year... food options were overall amazing for me though, except Le Bao which we had the first night and was £9 for two tiny pieces of chicken, whereas you can get a full dumpling for £1 from the Tibetan kitchen. And the Persian had also ran out of lamb by the time we arrived one night. And I'm talking about food a lot. It was amazing, all of it! Can't wait to be back for the 15th birthday next year!

Even if Metronomy are there, are we all sure it would be a headline slot? They don't seem like headliners to me...

For End of the Road's most recent Facebook competition to give away Ty Segall's stage outfit from last year, they awarded it to somebody whose dream headliner for this year was Bonnie Prince Billy. Maybe there's a clue in there?
