Can someone be a little more straightforward than talking about crisps.

I assume there are no dogs.

    Are they patting everyone down?

    Searching pockets?

    Making you empty your pockets?

    Searching bags?

    Thanks.

Agreed, some genuinely useful information would be good instead of spreading absolute nonsense about security confiscating crisps.

The lads playing giant Tetris with 15 cases of Stella in 2019 suggest that anything is possible if you try hard enough! 😂

I usually have my 85L backpack (with sleeping bag, SIM and chair strapped to the outside), tent and then a smaller 40L backpack that I take on with me, and never had an issue - in fact, compared to the majority on the coach I've usually packed light.

Ah this is really helpful, and probably more stuff than I plan to take - so thank you!

  3. Hiya - not long now! Quick Question to anyone who has experience travelling on the National Express coach to Glastonbury, not the coach and ticket package, just the regular chartered coach... Are there any restrictions on volume of luggage you can take? Not planning to go mad, but I assume a large rucksack, tent, and small bag that can fit under the seat would be fine?

  4. Hey everybody, this forum is doing a great job of ramping up my excitement levels even more! I haven't been to Glastonbury since 2009 so I was overwhelmed by how much brilliant after hours electronic music there was. Which areas tend to have queues to get into, and which would you advise going to before the headliners finish on the main 5 stages, just NYC Downlow or Shangri La, or are there others?

  5. Ah amazing really helpful thank you! And I know, a lot has changed, I just popped on the resale an hour after it went live and bought a ticket in 2009 🤣

The first thing you should know is that the popular campsites fill up far more quickly than they did in 2009 but it really depends how large your group is. If you're just looking for space for one or two small tents you may be ok anywhere except the really popular places like Pennards and Oxlyers. Honestly though the best bet is Pylon and Darble - they tend to be the last places to fill up.

There's also always up-to-date information about which fields still have space at the campsite help points so you can just decide where to camp when you get there based on what they say.

yeah I agree - I do have an email from them about Bath and West and the lady said she would be speaking with me soon about paying for the tickets - just would love it to be paid and sorted as it is still rather stressful as I keep worrying I will miss the call ! I am working on Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday and not able to answer my phone easily !!!!!

Agreed, no point calling, not least because any inbound calls are met with the notification "this call centre has closed down", just a waiting game, but so frustrating. Everything is pointing towards us getting tickets as other people in identical situation seem to be, but until we get them confirmed in our inbox there will always be some doubt.

No phone call yet from see tickets 😱 my surname begins with W so hoping I am at end of alphabetical list snd tomorrow I will get the call - anyone else not had the call yet ?

We haven't, although surname of lead booker begins with F...

  8. Hey all - I was finding the updates from people affected by 'Bottlegate' on Sunday really helpful, as I still haven't had a call from See Tickets and it was useful to hear how others were getting on in what is a tricky situation!

The chat seems to have been deleted or moved and I can't find it, sorry if I am being thick, but I had bookmarked it. Anyway, I was finding it helpful, so if somebody could point me in the right direction or we could get another update thread going, that would be helpful!

    Thanks!

  9. Have they indicated how the programme on the Wednesday is comprised? Really want to see Belle & Seb and Wolf Parade, Spiritualized too but accept that’s probably unlikely. My flight lands at 4pm, I assume things don’t kick off in the Forum until much later, or will there be city gigs too.

It's a shame they missed the chance to book

    - Anderson Paak

    - The The

    - SZA

    - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

    - Spoon

    - Beck

    - Kendrick

    - Brian Ferry

    - Phoenix

    - St Vincent

    - MBV

Plus loads more I've forgotten. A lot of these were around and would have enhanced the lineup.

Maybe 1 or 2 of the above for Unexpected?

SZA, Andersoon Paak and Kendrick are all in the US, and MBV still haven't announced anything concrete in the way of a comeback. Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Beck would have fitted well, but oh well, can't have everything

  11. Responses to the lineup are completely subjective, and I think we can all agree that Migos placed so highly is a bizarre booking for Primavera. However in general, personally, I think it's a fantastic lineup. Clearly they are expanding the electronic music programme this year, and in that respect, they have pulled off a lineup to rival the likes of Sonar and Dekmantal. Four Tet, Hunnee, The Black Madonna and Palms Trax are some of the most sought after and forward thinking DJs out there. Then when you consider that this is just a small part of a much more diverse programme of acts, I think it's a brilliant lineup, and I'm absolutely chuffed. But, everybody is entitled to their opinion, they've definitely chosen a  slight change of direction this year and can see why that doesn't flat everybody's boat.

    Ah fair enough.

I don't think I'm underestimating though just how few people when it comes to it will effectively want to set off for the festival at about 1pm after probably being up until 2/3/4/5am the night before.

Agree, it does seem very odd not to have that particular show in the Auditori. Presume they haven't released the stage splits in full?

I'd be surprised if they can fill the new auditorium far from the Forum they are using at c.2pm for a rendition of the not-that-exciting-sounding Stranger Things soundtrack on one day - let alone on two days.

I think you under-estimate how insanely popular that show is, and how widely praised the score is
