  1. I'm staying in East Pennard on Tuesday night and planning to walk to gate C in the morning via Cockmill farm which leads right to the gate itself (you don't have to walk through the caravan site) if we come for 6/7am wednesday morning, do you think we would have to walk to the back of the queue in the caravan site or are the caravan site people kept in the closed field until gates open?

  2. The way I'm walking in is down the road via Cockmill Farm so technically don't go through the caravan sites or anything to get to the gate so hopefully if we get there before they let the car park people through we should be fine. Gates open at 8am, any idea what time they would let the car park people through?

  3. I will be driving down to East Pennard on Tuesday about 2pm to stay at y cousins the night before. I will be getting a route from my cousin to try and avoid the traffic but was wondering if any of you had any experience of the traffic on Tuesday? and leaving the site too on Monday late morning?

    Thanks, Grace

  4. Hey

With the new security of this year it says that: "There will, however, be no entertainment or facilities in the car parks and Festival-goers will be expected to remain in their cars until the Festival gates open at 8am on Wednesday morning." what has it been in previous years? And when are you normally allowed to leave your car to start queuing? Do you think they will stick to the rule of not getting out of your car until 8am?

    Thanks,

    Grace

  5. Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum and my fourth year at Glastonbury. I've normally driven to my uncle's who lives in Pylle and walked on site on the Wednesday but I never had to worry about getting a good camping spot as I was doing Camplite one year and camped backstage in other years.

This year I'm going with friends and we're gonna try camping in Pennard Hill which I know fills up really quickly. My question is does anyone have experience of the queues at Gate C (photos?) when gates open on Wednesday morning? We are staying at my cousins and walking to the gate early Wednesday morning, I know the searches will slow things down but it also says everyone has to stay in their cars until 8am so maybe if we got there early, we could miss the queues? I also know Gate C has less car parks surrounding it than Gate D so fingers crossed, what do you guys think?
