  1. I have elbow on in the front room and radiohead in the kitchen. Glass of wine in hand. running between the two.

I got in yesterday with Hugs. Came down with no plan, hope in my heart and cash in my pocket.

Finally on site at about 8 and absolutely elated.

    well done!

  3. It's killing me as well, but I tried to go. I was gloomy last night and my husband (trying to be sympathetic) said "now you know how it feels when I can't get a Rugby 6 Nations ticket".

Anyway, we're going to Cropedy and End of the Road festivals later in the summer.

I thought that was the case but I knew back in the 80s it was the weekend before so wasn't sure how set in stone it was, my hope than anything. Shame but I'm definitely going to try for tickets.

it did use to be a bit earlier sometimes but was moved back to cater for people taking exams, I think GCSEs and Al levels are all but finished by the last weekend in June.

ok .. heres the thing .. all my posibles dried up ... and now after a mention by someone in the office i did a small search on the internet and it looks like wear all looking at a fallow year next year ( that was a given ) followed by a year somewhere else in midlands for 2019 , so no worthy farm until 2020 ... that was an interview with m evis in april this year .......

    just kill me now .....

Somerset Live are going with the story there will be a Glastonbury Festival in 2019 and 2020, but not 2021.

Not by a long long way! Remember scott44?

could be the same person right enough.:)

If you look at Sea Glass's profile, he registered on 22 May, about the same time that scott44 disappeared.

Is that for a ticket or for a night in a tent once you get in? i.e. you need a ticket anyway?

What the fuck is a smart tent

Maybe it is just for the tent. :(

    for reals?

From whence does this information come?

It does seem a little late for a comp, but BBC were only running them last week so not impossible and right now I'm clutching at every straw dangled my way.

Here's the twitter announcement. It's only been retweeted 8 times.

  9. By the way, I'm not sure if it was picked up here yesterday as I was busy and couldn't read the thread but there is another EE Glasto twitter competition coming up.  I checked Twitter this morning and its not been run yet.

I also drink red wine instead of beer at gigs or festivals.. By rights the quantity of wine you drink will be far less that if you were drinking pints of beer.

My problem is I drink wine like it's beer which is why I have been known , from time to time, to get really really pissed!!

    Sounds just like my husband!

What's the deal with Sunday day tickets , can you rock up Sunday morning and pay on the gate , or am I just being hopeful and dense

Its exactly the same process as weekend tickets. You have a ticket with your photo on it and it costs £85. I was talking to a friend last night who always goes on a Sunday. Her parents live in Glastonbury so she is registered at that address.

Lovely to see so many folks from here getting in at the last minute. Starting to make my peace with the fact it's probably not going to happen for husband and me. Will likely be off to End of the Road by way of consolation!

I'm off for the day but see you all back here tomorrow :)

We going to go to EOTR as well.

Well, good news from this side of the North Sea: I found my way in! :)

Me and my mate will be working this year. Far from ideal, but at least we're there and while we will be doing different jobs, we will have the same shifts, so we can go watch some bands during the weekend!

I have no experience with working on a festival, but I'm excited to at least be able to attend! :)

I hope you get to see the Gibb

  14. The Information page has been updated as below, so whilst getting in on other peoples tickets is still an option, being smuggled in in a bag/car/traders van may not be.

    PLEASE PACK LIGHT

For security reasons, all Glastonbury 2017 ticket holders will be subject to extra searches of their vehicles, their bags and their person at this year’s Festival. We encourage you to pack as light as you can.  As a general rule, we would ask you to only bring as much as you can carry yourself. It really will make things quicker. For more information, please click here.

Hey all - Koala is back! Purely to ask a selfish favor though....

As we can't get to Glasto this year, we want to do Bonnaroo. But I don't like supporting the organization that runs it (LiveNation) for various boring reasons. Therefore, I only go if I can get there for free. This will be my third year.

I'm trying to win this competition, and I realize we might be able to do it if we have the numbers. It's posted in Instagram but it's actually a Facebook thing (comment on two pages and tag someone). If you win, tell them to put the tickets in my name (Helen Hachtel) for pick up (and PM me here to let me know the great news!)

If you're feeling in a charitable mood and want to help us be mooches and get to Bonnaroo for free, please go ahead and enter on my behalf. If you manage to win, I will send you a swag box from the festival :D

Thank you, and I love you all <3

Done. Nice to see Ron again.

It would be funny to dress as hobbits (I'll volunteer to be Gollum on a leash) and not so secretly try climbing the barrier (in full view of the gate/staff/festival goers).  Maybe a Legolas and Gandalf for full effect.

I doubt they would take pity on us but I know I would if I were Eavis... just for the comedy value.

Wouldn't an oliphant be better? We could all climb on top of it and it could step over/destroy the fence. I'm not sure what we'd do with an oilphant once in the Festival though.
