I'm not entirely sure that you'll get one with iPlayer - it's in the next feature set for Freeview as an integral part (and will also include ITVplayer, 4OD, etc).

Hey all,
I know there are some tech-geeks amongst you guys, so figured I would throw out this question.
Basically looking for a Freeview HD box with iPlayer/4oD capability and the ability to hook-up to my home network so I can stream my downloaded video files onto my TV.
This is the closest I've found to what I want at a reasonable price, but it doesn't do iPlayer/4oD
Any ideas? Help would be much appreciated!!

Just get a normal bird mate.
Thanks, mate

Ok so I have finally (partially) left the world of singledom, catch being that the girl I am head over heels for is Korean and lives in Seoul :S Met on an extended holiday a few months back and instantly hit it off and had a 3 week thing. Have been talking most days online since then, have purchased a webcam for skype-age and I was in Korea visiting her for the last two weeks.
She is hoping to come to London early next year to improve her English and stay with me, but after that it remains unclear whether she can (a) find a job, ( get the requisite visa
She is really keen on travelling in Europe, so living in London would make that simple - I want to make it happen but am not really sure where to look for jobs for a fluent Korean speaker with what I would guess is upper intermediate level English. Can anyone think of any ideas? She is not really interested in office work which makes the impossible task even more impossible. I was hoping there's some kind of Korean specific UK tour company but can't seem to find anything.

If that was the case they'd announce them, why keep it a secret? Unannounced special guests don't sell tickets.
-
Yeah an unannounced special guest on the main stage would be odd, but there's definitely a slot there compared to last year.
-
Nice. Now can you do this for every year?

Ok, after supreme effort I have reproduced the poster at 2000x2000 resolution and with the days arranged for Reading, rather than Leeds. Here is a slightly smaller copy of it:
Font for the band names is slightly different, but not hugely
-
It's on the official site, although it's not the full line-up, but appears to be what it looked like during the first announcement.
-
Best I could find without spending longer than 3mins doing it...

Hey all,
I'm basically looking for a high res copy of the Reading or Leeds poster from 2003. Gonna use this to make myself a t-shirt - it was my first Reading but never got a tee and would like one (and not some minging 2nd hand one from someone else )
So does anyone know where I can get something like this? A quick Google search has brought no joy
Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Crunk Juce!
They have loads of these things in America and my cousin from Princeton said that, you drink one and your drunk for the rest of the night and that you won't pass out, unless you have loads. Haha!

Times are going to be up on the site a week before, read it on their Twitter feed a few weeks ago

Do you think optimal HCG could work with my inflated body? It's become so bad that you can't even see my genitals
-
Yeah i've seen it now, ah ok thanks for clearing that up. Would really like to see 'em sometime this year, though.
-
Don't know a fair few of those bands (aside from Capdown, Descendents, Flogging Molly, Street Dogs, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Hot Water Music).
Who are the best of the rest? Not interested in any hardcore/ott pop-punk/emo if there's any there.
-
Agreed, very uncool. I live in London so the thought didn't really pass my mind, but I guess given these were the only UK shows, iirc, then there will have been people coming from all over
Guess they thought he might recover in time?

We should do an AV version. Everyone list you preferences
-
Well it's actually a PR poll, we're just picking one winner.
-
I think the first-past-the-post format of this poll is unfair

I've gone Green Day and Rage. Green Day in '04 (was it '04?) were fantastic - in part thanks to 50 Cent getting bottled off and them, as a result, having a ~3 hour set.
Only went to 2 Reading/Leeds in the latter part of the period but, of those, Rage were easily the most entertaining headliner. Coming out in their Guantanamo get-up made it memorable and they had great energy.
Can't say I'm expecting any of this years headliners to be even close to those performances.

The cancellation was a f**king joke, it came way too late. There were people sitting outside the venue who'd flown from Italy, Spain, France, or train'd it from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle etc etc. I made a two hour trip and the first I knew about it was when I got to the venue at 8pm.
Props to Teenage Bottlerocket for putting on an excellent consellation show on at the New Cross Inn. I and a few others just managed to make it in time. Hopefully we'll see them on the Lock Up this year as well. They deserve it.
Obviously it can't be helped if Milo has blown his voice, but after blowing it three songs in last night, and then cancelling at 6pm tonight? WTF?
Freeview HD box - which to get?
