Irish rock/metal site Overdrive is hyping a "huge" announcement for ireland coming on Tuesday at 7pm Irish time.... this is also the same time Hellfest announces their lineup... both locations are on the poster.

Would be worth posting that over in the 2020 headliners thread ?

Has anyone tallied it against the dates / announced acts for things like Rock In Rio?

The 2 festivals that I recognised from the dates would be Splendour in the Grass and Rock in Rio but neither of them have confirmed dates yet but it sits in the right month

  3. Also reading on the RATM reddit page that the drummers girlfriend posted that more dates are coming and to look at their instagram, but she ended her message with a bang emoji and a bee emoji which apparently means killer bees also known as wu tang clan which they've taken to mean they're touring together

Yeah there are a lot of holes that can be poked in this which is why I'm holding off taking it as gospel just yet. Glastonbury being listed on their tour dates/them announcing them all at once like that seems pretty unlikely to me given Glastonbury's usual secrecy towards this stuff and Rage's usual MO, and like has been said, the fact that it's barely been picked up on, or that their instagram would make such a dumb mistake.

Apparently their reunion was accidentally posted on instagram early so it wouldn't be the first instagram-related mistake. In addition to this, the drummers partner has posted online to look out for tour dates coming soon on their instagram

Where has this come from? Cant see it from any reputable source

I posted the link to the facebook page where it was posted, but I originally found it through the glastonbury reddit page

That is the worst clash ever, hopefully its the default date and they are actually against swift.

Do some bands put a random Glastonbury date on their posters if they haven't got the actual dat finalised? I'd love for this to be the case but not sure I've seen examples of this in the past

Once you get that close, then the exact path you get directed along will change based on things like current traffic conditions, which fields are being filled at that moment, and which are already full. So it's a case of follow the event signage for Purple, but it's entirely possible that you actually get sent in via Brown gate.

Excellent - thanks for your help

  8. Hey all!

I've seen a few threads about this but they were a few years old so I wanted to check if the information is relevant today. Our group is planing on camping Cockmill Meadow which is close to Blue Gate. Every year I've been to Glastonbury I've got by the Bath & West Showground shuttle bus so thats dropped me off at Red Gate (I think? Maybe Yellow as they're close). This is the first year I'm going by car.

We will be approaching from Shepton Mallet from Frome direction.

From my understanding, you can't really select which gate you park at, you just go towards one and hope they let you in or they divert you to another that they want to fill up instead? Is this correct? Is there a way to increase your chances of parking near your desired gate?

    Would appreciate any advice!

  9. I made up a list of airbeds that were on sale for my group going next year, thought I would share it here in case anyone found it useful. All but one are raised height, and they're all double size. Might be worth keeping an eye on them and seeing what deals are around on Black Friday.

  10. Hey

I've been on the shuttle bus from Bath West Showgrounds to the gate before with a normal non-folding trolley (the kind you transport stock on) and it was fine. But I noticed the Glastonbury website saying not to bring wheelbarrows/trolleys on the bus.

The one we have folds up, and goes quite thin. I don't think they'll be a problem allowing it on the shuttle bus but I thought I'd post here just in case. I've attached a photo of it and the dimensions (folded) are:

    74cm tall

    55cm wide

    14cm deep

Anyone reckon they'll be any problems?

Alongside the barrier to the right hand side of the left mini soundstage. You have a clear line of sight to the stage along the barrier. My 12 year old stood there for adele and could see the stage. He did get the full force of a cannon load of adele confetti mind but you cant have everything.

Are you able to find a photo/aerial shot of what you're describing? Whenever I look at photos I only see one soundstage

  12. It's been a while since I last went to Glastonbury and I never really went to the Pyramid stage anyway, but in anticipation for Radiohead I was wondering what would be a wiser spot between A and B detailed on the attached photo. From what I remember there is a slight incline towards the soundstage, so for someone who is 5ft which of the 2 would be better to go to?

    Thanks for your help!
