Absolutely fantastic. Been waiting a long time to see them. I was near the front and the sun was on its way down towards the end which made it even better. Their new songs were brilliant too on top of a quality set list. I thought they were underrated too but the crowd was massive and they subbed the other stage to Tame Impala...

1. Tame Impala
2. Chemical Brothers
3. Vampire Weekend
Honourable mention to Fontaines DC. Saw them twice and they blew me away!

Vampire Weekend - Jerusalem. Was surprised when I felt tears streaming down my face. Sometimes songs like that just hit you when you're at a place like Glastonbury. Makes me emotional now thinking about it.

Decided to leave my staff job and go contracting abroad for a year and rented out my house. Now contracting back in the UK in a new job and haven't looked back.
2017 was my first Glastonbury but I managed to break my arm the weekend before it. I ended up in A&E last night but thankfully it was just precautionary and the x-ray showed nothing wrong! Don't want to jinx it though...

20 cans of Thatchers Haze, 15 cans of Heineken, 70cl of apple vodka, 70cl of mixed berries vodka, 1L of normal vodka, 35cl of jim beam red stag, 50cl of cpt morgans. See you on the other side. Was gonna take wine too but death would almost be imminent.

No chance - they are in the US
Ah, sound. Nearly fell off my chair when I read that rumour

Am I seeing rumours for The National or have they been quashed? This is no good for my sanity.

He just posted it on insta
I watched the once acclaimed Jackmaster there in 2017 and there was so much room. That was the Friday tbf
That's the only time I've been there too. He played a brilliant set and opened with Four Tet - Question. Think Peggy Gou and Richy Ahmed were on before and after him so it was a pretty decent lineup. I had to calm down after being so overwhelmed after an amazing Radiohead set and that was somehow the perfect place at the time, however not somewhere I'd normally think to go. Jon Hopkins there would be ace.

The fact I cant stand in front of a stage in the heat / sun. I didnt drink or do anything else after Friday in 2010. A featival should just be about enjoying yourself, not having to worry about your health
Sorry, my message came across a bit blunt. Ah that's terrible! Yeah I completely agree - I hope it cools down a bit for you. I only went in 2017 and the Wednesday was unbearable

For the first time in my life, I am not looking forward to Glastonbury.
I will do, and Ill hopefully enjoy it, but an essential part of the festival is being able to see acts. Looking less likely now.
What will stop you seeing acts?

Glad I bought a fresh and black tent now. Couldn't bare a normal one again after the Wednesday in 2017! Bring it on

Absolutely incredible! How do we deserve that AND Glastonbury-on-Sea AND Pangea on top of all the other ridiculous features that are already there. Genuinely is the best place in the world.

Don't think twice, its alright
Don't let the sun go down on me
Don't stop me now
Don't stop believing

Still can't stop listening to the new album! Not surprised they have been put up against The Killers and Hot Chip otherwise surely everyone at the festival would be at the Other Stage on Saturday night. I've seen them three times but its gonna be even more of a spectacle at Glastonbury. Feel like its gonna be a really special gig, especially with this new album and hopefully the visuals are better than ever!

One thing is for sure... In years to come you're gonna be talking about the Manchester gig.
Cannot.
Fucking.
Wait.
Same. Until I had to sell my ticket.
Will be seeing them at Mad Cool though which is a silver lining.

Not sure if they've already been mentioned in this thread but Fontaines DC are brilliant! Only discovered them after seeing them on the lineup. Their debut album only came out in April... A rock/punk sort of vibe and a strong Dublin accent. Playing two or three times over the weekend too. A must see for me now.

Bought a Quechua pop up blackout tent and a highly recommended Anker phone charger. Checklist to print off and alcohol to buy - maybe closer to the time of the festival so they don't get drunk beforehand

Never been my all favourite band but that set was unbelievable. Jerusalem at the end was the most emotional I've ever been at Glastonbury. Thankfully, I get to see it all again at Mad Cool next weekend.
I was still in Strummerville from the night before when they played their secret set. Think I heard them play M79 which I didn't even know they played anymore. Was a nice little moment away from everything else going on.
