Okay I wouldn't go that far but each to their own. Idk they don't seem like the greatest live band to me, I've seen Royal Blood and they put on a great show, I struggle to see The Kooks of all people topping it. I mean fair enough, it's your opinion, but I just struggle to see it lmao.

Every time you say ''lmao'', the R&L announcement gets pushed back a day.

    Massively hopeful!

I know it will be something like Nothing but Thieves subbing Royal Blood they seem to fit together and under Foo Fighters probably Pixies

NBT subbing? Wow, it's amazing what sending a 15y/o girl videos of yourself masturbating can do for your career.

I met some people at the barrier who were planning on standing there all day to see Bastille, was probably standing there for ten hours. So they definitely have a dedicated fan base. Doesn't seem like your usual R&L headliner though, more like V Festival.

Jesus Christ, imagine that being your life.

Their UK arena tour has had surprisingly high ticket sales for a band that had supposedly been 'forgotten about' , they've also just been booked for TRNSMT which shows they're defo being considered big enough for a UK festival, their new album got fairly good reviews  - I love it personally - and they haven't played in a while .

I see your point but have you considered the fact that its Stereophonics.

They could go completely huge and book in the killers, radiohead, pearl jam etc (a headliner who hasn't played in around 10 or more years) or stick with an established but not a HUGE headliner like stereophonics, Kings of Leon etc but I think these are the only real possibilities .

Why do people keep predicting Stereophonics?

where do we think King Krule will play if he does? Currently got him down 8th NME, but feel that may be a bit low. 5th/6th NME? Or maybe even FR headline/2nd FR?

I don't reckon he'd be booked. Its hard to tell whether his current tour is understating his popularity or whether I'm overstating it. Id've expected him to be 3rd/4th NME but really difficult to place him.

    I've recently heard a whisper that AMs aren't doing R/L next year - tho I can't guarantee it's correct.

But if that info is correct my suspicion is its because they'll be doing Tramlines.

I have heard that they were planning on moving Tramlines to Hillsborough stadium. So as bizarre as it sounds, I fully believe this.

Worth remembering Liam Fray retweeted R&I'd tweet asking who people wanna see on the line-up or something.

Liam Fray did a solo acoustic tour recently, wondering if he might pop up that way as FR headliner / mid NME slot rather than just wasting another third down slot on them. Suspect many of the Dark Fruits Army would go just as wild.
