  1. I took our 4 month old son in 2005. On the Wednesday and Thursday when it was nice and dry and sunny it was fine, and there was plenty of room to push the buggy around.

However, on the weekend when it rained it was a nightmare of epic proportions, all the walkways were full of people who didnt want to move out of the way into the mud which is fair enough, I was knackered from pushing, dragging and carrying the buggy through the mud.

Its really up to you, but I wouldnt do it again

  2. We're taking our little boy who'll be 10 months come June. So excited about taking him :D

We've been looking around for carts but can't seem to find a good one, the Radio Flyers look good but are incredably expensive so I think we're going to buy a garden one and modify it ourselves.

  3. We are taking our lad who will be 14 months old by then, really looking forward to it and I think he will have a marvelous time. I would love to get my hands on a Wonder Wagon, any idea where i can get one?

  4. We bought our 4wheel garden trolley from ebay - around £70 if i remember.

There shouldn't be a problem with your friends camping with you, we usually take along a few kid free folk who camp with us too.

Last year Cockmill Meadow was extremely busy, I imagin getting trolley from path to tent would've been a nightmare. We were out in Wicket Ground, while it was a much longer walk in the morning and at night, there was a bit more room. We'll be heading back there next year.

  5. Hi All,

Super excited as we were lucky with tickets. We didn't go this year as new baby arrived in April but we will be taking the lad with us next year. He will be 14 months old and I am sure he will have a fab time. During previous years I have seen lots of wee ones being pulled around in little trollies. Can anyone recommend a good place to purchase one? Also, we are planning on staying in family camping. We always come with another couple who as yet have no babies. Will they be allowed to join us in the family bit?

    Many thanks,

    T

  6. I had to miss it last year, due to having a small baby, and not being brave enough to take him. I cried every time I saw any coverage on TV (A disclaimer- I was still quite hormonal!).

That small baby is now a toddler, and is being introduced to Glastonbury at the grand old age of 14 months. I just couldn't miss it again.

  7. What a great thing to do, wish I could join you. I am due with our first in 7 weeks and cause the wee one will be very wee, Glasto is not happening for us this year. But I hope you and your lovely bumps have a super time!

  8. We tend to pack all of our stuff up late Sunday afternoon and shove it in the care and ust leave the tent and bed set up. Then set the alarm for 5am on Monday morning and leg it with tent t the car. Off site by 6am and then off to campsite in Dorset to chill for a few days. We were set up at the campsite by 10am this time round. It was so confusing, felt like I had been awake all day already.

  9. Not going next year as first baby is due in April. Was a bit weird not trying for tickets but I am also looking forward to a year off and then taking the wee nipper for a new type of Glastonbury experience in 2011. Don't think I will watch it on the tele though, that would be very odd!

  10. One hour and counting till I finish work, husband picking me up, driving to Glastonbury this afternoon, check into pub, climb the tor, have a few beers... Can't wait! Have a fantastic festi everyone.

  11. I have been doing Glasto and Reading for years and really enjoy both. You can't compare them really as they are poles apart. The campsites can be messy and quite scary by night at Reading - I am very lucky and stay in guest camping in more recent years. If this wasn't the case I am not sure I would go to be honest. Love Glasto, really chilled, lush food and a nice time to chill or party hard if you want to. Reading for me, is more about the music (except this year which doesn't look quite so good) but as long as you go to both with an open mind and the right attitude, both festivals are fab. Can't wait for Glasto though, not long now...
