Is the wristband way still being used to pay for stuff at the festival?After reading about the pickpockets at download we're now planning on leaving all phones and wallets behind and just taking a lump of cash and putting it on our wristbands as soon as we get through the doors!

Seen a few posts about Rancid being the Green Day support cause they're touring with them through Europe,but if it was them (using the european support theory) surely they would have been announced straight away...?That makes me think there's something big on the cards regarding their support and that's why it's all still being kept quiet for now!

Tickets bought for Mad Cool on Friday,means I'll be seeing Green Day 4 times next year,can't wait!
Could anyone recommend any hotels in the city centre or close?Looking for somewhere decent as we'll be staying for 5 nights,budgeting for around £60/70 a night...also is there like a week pass for the metro?I've read that that's the easiest way to get to the festival from the city centre!

Haha,it's just cause I don't know a lot about this festival or it's capacity and with Green Day and Foo Fighters headlining I'd have thought it will sell out quickly?

Would anyone reccommend the Alpha Camping that's advertised on the Festicket website?Also does anyone know when or how likely this will sell out...hoping to buy a ticket next month cause I'll know I can definitely go by then!

So excited by this line up,Green Day and Foo Fighters are my two favourite bands of all time so I'm definitely going this year...never been to a european festival though and don't know a lot about Mad Cool,can someone tell me how likely it is to sell out as I can't find any info on the capacity!Not bothered about the early bird option just as long as I can get tickets when I know I can go.Grateful for any info/advice in advance!

Went to T this year for my first festival and despite all the negative stuff said about it I didn't think it was as bad as what it's been made out to be,then again I only have a day at Leeds to compare it to but still didn't see a massive difference in the two!
This year I'm swaying towards Mad Cool in Madrid,Green Day and Foos are my 2 favourite bands of all time so both of them at the same festival is a god send.Not sure how this sets up either of those for T this year as I know both are pretty much a strong favourite to be a headliner...am I right in thinking Mad Cool could clash with T this year (Second week of July)?That's if T is even on this year...

Ah that's a shame,really liked the idea of how they did things last year,guess we'll just have to be extra careful of our stuff now!
