  1. To pass some time until an announcement, here's a guess at the top end of the main stage.

Friday - Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, PJ Harvey.

Saturday - Dua Lipa, Pulp, Avril Lavigne.

Sunday - Stevie Wonder, Olivia Rodrigo, Paolo Nutini, Shania Twain.

I did have Stevie Nicks and Olivia Rodrigo the other way around, but two acts named Stevie being back to back sat wrong with me.

  2. Every one of these "leaks" has Stevie Nicks on it. Is it just the all but confirmed BST date we have on her, or is there something else suggesting she is playing?

I feel like she could be a big disappointing omission when the real thing drops.

  3. To be fair, The National could sub Pyramid and then run over to headline Other. Never playing the same song twice.

Apart from Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks finishing both sets.

  4. Going on previous info, and from the look of that BST into being correct, I guess we are looking at...

    Friday - Coldplay

    Saturday - Dua Lipa

    Sunday - Stevie Wonder

  5. Putting personal taste aside, it is a pretty strong set of headliners. In my opinion!

Musical legend possibly on his final tour.

One of the biggest bands of the last 20 years as essentially a worldwide festival exclusive.

Big pop star with one of the most streamed albums of all time, having her first go at headlining the major festivals.

Could be doing a lot worse in a year where it seems like a lot of festivals are struggling. In my opinion!

  6. Was there ever anything saying Dua Lipa was the Friday, which suggests there has been a change in nights?

Doesn't matter either way. Coldplay will headline both of the remaining nights.

  7. What's the chat with Hozier? Might be me being out of touch, but I didn't have him popular enough for the billing he is getting just now.

He's headlining a show at Glasgow Green right before Transmit. Sub-headliner or third from top at Glastonbury?

  8. I'd be happy with them doing pretty much anything other than headlining the main stage. Not heard any of their music in about 8 years, but they could pack out an hour or so with a lot of good stuff.

Ditto, seeing Springsteen in May but it would still be tough. Hopefully people's logic on the subject is sound and Dua will be on the Sunday or something.

If it is Bruce though, would him and The National have too much fan cross over for the counter programming to work? A lot of middle aged over sensitive rock fans would love to see both.

Are there many cases of Pyramid/Other headliners having a similar fanbase? A glance at the last two years suggests not.

I suppose the prospect of Bruce coming in as a replacement kind of explains any clash. The National/Madonna definitely fits better.

I went to night 1, one of the best times I've seen them but when they said night 2 was no doubles I was gutted to miss it.

Sorry this isn't The National thread. But when they headline The Other Stage that's where I'll be.

In all seriousness, I think they're nailed on as Other Stage headliner. If Bruce Springsteen does somehow end up headlining the same night, that clash will be the stuff of nightmares for me.

I'm not shaving between now and July so I'll have a long, luscious beard to stroke as the National launch into Daughters of the Soho Riots to a silently awed Pyramid crowd.

Just go all in and play Alligator in full.

Not sure I've ever been at a gig of theirs where that singalong has actually worked.

Kelvingrove Bandstand in Glasgow a few years back I'd say it worked well. That only holds about 2k or so capacity though.

Seated at The Hydro last year it did not go down well at all. Front 3 rows were having a good time at least.

  13. Can't wait to see The National closing The Pyramid Stage with Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks. Complete with about 30 people in the crowd singing along.

I say that as a big fan of theirs as well.

Can’t find those dates elsewhere though so perhaps the third show is an error?

His website only has 20/6 and 22/6, so I'm assuming the 21st is wrong.

  15. I'd love Bruce, but playing Thursday and Saturday of the festival in Netherlands, and not doing 2 nights in a row on this tour. I don't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong though.
