If it helps any investigations, heard from a reliable source last week that GnR are locked in for the Friday night (much to my disappointment)

I've been on the AM forum a long time and would be amazed if those there are wrong about Monkeys headlining, which places them on the Saturday

Did the reliable source say when the guns n roses deal was done?

GnR are just a bigger deal, especially with Slash and Duff now back. The shows they play (and sell out) here are ginormous compared to Aerosmith. And let’s be honest, Aerosmith were also far too big for that slot and they must’ve really have wanted to play the festival to accept it as it surely would’ve been the first time they’d played but not headlined a festival in decades.

That’s right. Aerosmith would play a couple of o2 arena shows whereas Guns n roses would play a couple of london stadium shows

Yep, just got 2 tickets for the BMTH day for £3.50 each. Only going for IDLES and RTJ.

Bummer for those who paid full price. Really must've undersold, can't see them giving tickets away if it was less than say 30% of tickets remaining.

Is this offer availabe to the public?

  4. Hi Guys - sadly I'm late to the party and all three day tickets are sold out (unless anyone knows where I might be able to get them)?

I notice on the website there are ticket and hotel packages which 'are not on sale yet' does anyone know if a) you can get a three day ticket as part of these packages, and B) also when do the packages go on sale?

    Thanks!

  5. Um so I cant be bothered trawling through the 134 pages or whatever it is of the big secret thread but has Drake joining Boy Better Know for their set been mooted already? The guy clearly loves dropping in on other act's festival slots and everyone would love it (except the people who think The National or Broken Social Scene should be headlining of course)

  6. I saw him at the o2 a few weeks ago and thought it was a bit cringey actually - though there was a lot of fist pumping from the sea of silver haired/bald ravers sat in their seats. Appreciate he is a legend but expected a much less cheesy show than the one that I saw. It was quite fantastic when he performed oxygene at the albert hall a few years back with all the original equipment... however now most of it is triggered off an ableton controller.. with lots of fist pumping of course

$7 million a show yeah. They played 2 shows.

I'm hopeful that they're at least open to it considering they're mates with Metallica and idolise The Stones.

Radiohead aren't the main headliner so the Saturday night headliner has to be someone huge right? ie a singer with red hair..........

    I hope not

  8. Hey Ive noticed theres already a few threads on Campervans and Worthy View so would appreciate some opinion/advice from the efestivals lot in choosing between the two.

Next year me and a mate are planning to either hire a van or camp in Worthy View- we are slightly older glasto veterans and haven't done either before (always done general camping).

One of the main reasons we are wanting to either do worthy view or hire a van is next year we cant leave to get there until Thursday (and I know what the main camping area is like after Wednesday), and to be frank it be nice to camp in something a little less hectic.

I understand the obvious differences between camping in pre-erected tents or a van and I have noticed from reading previous threads that both fields for worthy view and campervan east/west are a decent distance from the main site. Basically Im just wondering given wed be going down on the Thursday- would it be better to get a place at worthy view, as by the time we got there in a van wed be absolutely miles away from anything? Or would it not be so bad coming in a van on Thursday/ the experience in a van would be so much better than worthy view that we should go in a van anyway?

Obviously the cost of getting a campervan would be more than worthy view but willing to spend the money if it is just that much better.

Um, well anyway- what should we do?

because my info is from June and might have changed, and my 99.99% is more hunch in conclusion than confirming other-info, and I'm being mega cautious after the coldplay cock-up ... and it came from Michael's lips.

I can't go telling you lot to be wary of stuff Michael's said and then dive full in myself. :P

But i do think in this instance it's right.

Neil apologies if you have had the question already - but in the past have you ever been 100 percent correct with your predictions of the three headliners at this stage (ie October before the festival)?

Im a long time reader, first time poster... , Im just asking as this will probably be my last Glasto and a Daft Punk / Radiohead / Stone Roses lineup would really be a perfect last lineup ... I mean Id take Pearl Jam instead of Daft Punk at a push, but as it stands this would be a dream line up for me.
